Whew!!! Finally! With perhaps the best high school team ever in the state of Ohio, the best team in the US this year (I would defy someone to show me a team better) captured their first state title, defeating the Canton McKinley Bulldogs 50-10 on Saturday! To make it all the sweeter, the win came on McKinley's HOME FIELD!!! After 5 fumbles, three of them lost in the first 5 minutes of the game, my Cards reeled off 40 unanswered points.
The stats for the year are absolutely amazing. Defeated the two-time defending state champs by a combined score of 59-6. Won 5 playoff games by a total score of 191-22. The first team defense allowed two touchdowns the ENTIRE 15 GAME SEASON!!
QB Dominic Goodman set a state playoff record by rushing 21 times for 259 yards and 4 td's. The team set a scoring record of 50 points in the final game, topping the "national champ" Moeller team record of 43 set in 1976.
Here are some of the mind=boggling stats for the year...

O_O
You're in Colerain? That's about pit-spitting distance from me.
Yes, my team also won their state game - and frankly, I couldn't care less. I don't like our football team much.
