Sorry if this has been asked before. But I was just watching the Queen program on BBC3 and noticed Rogers twitch!! His nose and mouth was forever twitching! Any particular reason for it?? |
L-R-TIGER1994 04.12.2004 23:32 |
No. |
deleted user 05.12.2004 04:33 |
havent noticed it b 4 |
Paula46 05.12.2004 04:43 |
aww it was really obvious, it was putting me off, I couldn't concentrate on what he was saying! |
David Jones 05.12.2004 06:30 |
Hehe, I tried to avoid any of the BBC3 docu topics so it wouldn't spoil it for me tonight, but now I'm gonna fixed all the way through trying to spot Roger's twitch... :-) |
queen-mad 4729 05.12.2004 07:52 |
God yeah it put me off so much. What was going on there? It was like a nervous twitch but i've never seen him have it before. |
John S Stuart 05.12.2004 08:10 |
This is not cute. Roger is getting old. Perhaps it is the onset of Parkinson's, altheimer's or even the results of a mini-stroke. |
Scirocco1977 05.12.2004 09:59 |
OH please don'T get me down... I do not like all the rumours about Roger being ill. Many fans reported he did not look so well the last months. Let's hopeit is just stress created by the musical and groupies... |
Paula46 05.12.2004 11:50 |
Yes, I watched it with my dad and he said that it was perhaps some sort of illness. I was hoping to be reassured by you guys saying that it was only a simple twitch and nothing more. |
rachael mae. 05.12.2004 13:15 |
Aww thats sad, although it put me off too. |
Brian_Mays_Wig 05.12.2004 17:11 |
Yes, I noticed it - a bit strange. |
RMT 05.12.2004 18:25 |
I didn't think he looked too well, it might explain his appearances lately. If you notice he hasn't been out doing public appearances this year, maybe he is ill? |
Paula46 06.12.2004 03:57 |
Lets just hope he gets some rest then! |
Monte: Liquorice Years 06.12.2004 04:26 |
Roger has a twitch? *snort* thats comical... but i hope its not an illness!! i want to see him play live first!! but if its just a nervous twitch, then its fucking hilarious!!! |
jeff payne 1680 06.12.2004 04:58 |
I Know he's just got over a touch of flu, so perhaps his nose is still a little twitchy from sneezing etc. As for his looks getting flu would make anyone look ill for a while after and he's not getting any younger. He can't be that ill now because he's off skiing in a few weeks and has spent 10 days on his boat sailing, which is a huge task considering all the travelling he's had to do. And after christmas he's working with Brian and maybe guests on maybe some new material and even the possiblity of an album/ live work. Not something you'd expect of someone who is on deaths door step. If he was that ill I think he would have stopped all the work he's done over the last year and concentrated on his health. |
Benn 06.12.2004 05:01 |
When he and Brian came on stage to accept the UK Hall Of Fame award, he looked bloated and a little unkempt........... Also when I attanded the launch of the MIH album at Hammersmith Odeon and he bothered to turn up for 2 minutes, he looked awful then too. Perhaps he's going to be appearing as the lead role in some kind of charity musical about the life of Kenny Rogers....... |
RogerTaylorNet 06.12.2004 05:45 |
@jeff payne: How come you know all about these private things like skiing, sailing and even a flu? NOT that I was curious... ;-) I haven't seen the documentation yet. But I think it was recorded back in Feburary if I remember right. Haven't seen him looking unhealthy while he was in Cologne last month. Just my 0.02 cents. |
MadeInMadhouse 06.12.2004 09:07 |
Hmm! I didnt see the documental yet... all is possible he is getting old and he didnt care about his health, he looks older than Brian, I wondering why Mr. Roger is deteriorating more quickly than Dr. Brian, probably Roger has more excess in life than Brian... remember that teh excess of drugs and Alcohol deteriorate the people so fast than other who dont commit the excess, is not strange that he is a bit sick.. LONG LIFE TO ROGER... I pray for him... "Sometimes the last thing you want to know is the truth" |

RMT wrote: I didn't think he looked too well, it might explain his appearances lately. If you notice he hasn't been out doing public appearances this year, maybe he is ill?Oh really? Do you mean that he didn't come to your home and didn't say 'Hi RMT, this is my first public appearance over the years and I really looks like Ali'? Actually Roger is so bad that on all those musicals premiers he sent guy from 'The Miracle' video who played him. Really! Guys, John looked at 40 worst than Roger now, so what?... I've seen Roger on October in Moscow - he's fine, tired - yes, but nothing strange... |
kohuept 06.12.2004 12:49 |

Whatinthewhatthe? 06.12.2004 13:17 |
Maybe it's a nervous tic. I don't think our Roger has Parkinson's, MS or anything of that sort, the poor dear just parties too much! He hasn't slowed down at all and the years of doing that (and chasing after the young lovelies) are starting to take their toll. The man needs a vacation!! |
Benn 06.12.2004 18:31 |
Don't kid yourselves; Roger has something wrong there, no doubt about it. Not only is there a twitch in the muscle abobe the top lip and below the nostril, but it is also causing his cheek to flutter and his eyebrow to drop too. If you notice during the interview segments at Sarm, he spends quite a long time frowning at the floor so that the camera can't pick up on it too much. Perhaps it only comes on during a pressure situation and he has nothing else to focus on; perhaps it's a result of the intake of "substance"; perhaps it's just that he had bad shoes on that day and didn't like them. Either way, it's not going to be pretty - the tour announcement had better come soon. |
LiveAidQueen 06.12.2004 18:34 |
I don't really care to look at him long enough. |
Pluto 06.12.2004 19:24 |
maybe he has bells pasly i know that that can cause face parilise. |
nowayman 06.12.2004 22:10 |
I seen photos from Rogers and Brians recent visit to Spain to recieve that award and Roger looked great. Maybe you caught him on a bad night?? Who knows.. If he was that sick he couldnt do all this traveling. hmm Sailing on his yacht.. hmmm AND HE FORGOT ME!!! Shame just because maybe Roger looked not to go one night, you have rumored him to have diseases and putting him in his grave already. People he is HUMAN!!!!! |
nowayman 06.12.2004 22:21 |
ok, maybe the photo I was looking at wasnt from spain???? It look like a recent photo. Anyway around if Roger had the flu or something, maybe he wasnt feeling that good for that interview?? I remember when I had the flu. I was sick for 2 weeks.. ahhhhhhhhhhhh mayb Mr. Taylor needs me to nurse him back to good health.. |
Daniel Nester 06.12.2004 22:41 |
Let's not downplay Queen member's appearance of ill health, fellow fans -- I put up with 5 years of denial from Queen fans about Freddie's. People were saying Freddie "looked tired" as late as October 1991. If Roger's sick, fine. But let's not jump down peoples' throats because he has a twitch and might genuinely ill and doesn't care to tell us. |
nowayman 06.12.2004 22:47 |
Im not in denial, but the man is allowed to get sick and not feel good. Like I said hes human. But everyone got him in his grave and that not right, we really dont know whats wrong with Mr. Taylor.. |
Monte: Liquorice Years 06.12.2004 22:51 |

My grandfather had to get it fixed, because it was obstructing his sight (if that makes sense). And the twitches, as everyone has said...drugs. He partys too much (the champ!). Hell! i have a twitch from drugs...and i didnt use them for long! |
Ms. Bea Haven 06.12.2004 23:02 |
Man - you people need to get a life...all this speculation...you sound like my mother!!!! Maybe he's sick...maybe he's got parkinsons...maybe he had a stroke...maybe somebody just gave him the time of his life between the sheets and he was dizzy and exhausted from the ride... or - maybe the photographer took a bad picture - we've ALL taken bad pictures...blurred...out of focus...bad lighting...thumb in the way... sheesh |
nowayman 06.12.2004 23:06 |
who are you mystery person cause your right all this guessing that Roger has this and that, well sounds like my mom to. Always jumping to conclusions. All I know I hope Roger is feeling better. If not I be flying over to the Uk and take care of him. ROGER IM ON MY WAY!! |

YourValentine 07.12.2004 08:45 |
He was in great shape last night performing with the SAS Band. |
Benn 07.12.2004 12:02 |
Roger and Brian both have people look at this site (and others like them) for them - Greg Brooks to name but one. There's a fair ammount of "shit" about him, but the *FACT* is that he has an extremely bad and noticeable facial muscle problem. The good thing is that he hasn't let that stop him from participating in things like the HOF ceremony and the BO Rhap documentary (which was filmed some time ago remember). I hope it's nothing and that he recovers (or has recovered) from whatever it is, but if it is serious, then I hope that he has the strength to decide whether he can tell the public what is wrong and deal with the sympathy and good wishes that will be coming his way. |
Lester Burnham 07.12.2004 12:11 |
Methinks some of you are blowing this out of proportion. Whatever it is that's wrong with him shouldn't let it stop us from enjoying the music - it's certainly not stopping him: as Barbara said, he looked fine performing with the SAS band last night. I could tell that looking at some of the pictures from QOL, and that's all that I need. If some of you so vociferously believe that Roger's ill, go on believing it. I won't worry about it until an official statement is given, that's for damn sure. |

jeff payne 1680 07.12.2004 14:53 |
Oh well everyone's decided on Rogers fate hey if I could drum as good has he's done this year when I'm seriously ill with parkinsons or had a stroke I'd be very happy. In my opinion Roger's playing has got better this year than over the last 5 years and his voice for those of us lucky to hear him in USA a few months ago belting out Rock and Roll and making my chest hurt with his drumming well role on being seriously ill. With Freddie we were all in denial his voice was extremely powerful. But with Roger whats the point a small nervous twitch. This program was recorded in Febuary. Did he have a twitch when he and Brian accepted the award 3 weeks ago? NO did he play well YES. Go see him next week at clapham junction and then answer. Or catch him outside the rehersals studios in Mayfair which have been going great and tell everyone how well he's looking and still time to chat and sign various things |
Roger_in_Tigerskin_Trousers 07.12.2004 15:34 |
When I watched that documentary, I wondered how many other people would notice Rog's twitch and if they'd make noise about it on notice boards. And here we are isn't it great how protective we are of our band after Freddie died. I have to say I am inclined to say it was most likely caused by cocaine taken shortly before the interview. At the music hall of fame event, Roger had no twitch which is good as this was of course filmed AFTER the Boh Rhap documentary. Whatever his problem was that day, he's probably got over it. |
nowayman 07.12.2004 17:31 |
Im glad to hear Rogers ok.. Were are those photos at of SAS? What is SAS? lol |
nowayman 07.12.2004 17:39 |

Look dirtqueen bitch or whoever you are. You told me to fuck off. You said fuck you to me first. So dont even try tht shit. I cant believe how people on this site make friggin rumors about Roger and Brian. its unbelievable. If someone isnt feeling right or looking right to them, you peeps either have them in their grave or they are doing drugs. And you dont even know the real story And #2 I DONT STALK!!! Yes I love the man, but wouldnt stalk him or Brian..Im glad dirtqueen you are admitting you are making sick comments. Cause you are.. And dont steal Freddies Comments either. You aren't worthy enough. This is why I was debating to come on this site. because of the rumors and how you people talk about the band. I to old for shit like this. I come on to talk to other fans. So Queendirt or whoever you are.. FUCK OFF!

I don't know everything about Roger, and I never said I did - you A-FUCKING-SSUMED I did. If I did I wouldn't be wasting my time saying this shite to a piece of crap like you. I also noticed that if Roger was sick you'd be on the first plane over to the UK, as made obvious by the low-key, "I'M COMING ROGER!!!" You're obviously stalking him, while I'm just making sick remarks about him. Why do you want to know what toilet paper he uses anyway? And you call me sick... And like I said before, stealing Freddie Mercury's oh-so wise words and editing them only slightly: Fuck you if you can't take a joke. |
Ms. Bea Haven 07.12.2004 21:40 |
Okay ladies...and I do mean ladies - you are both entitled to your own opinions. There are far too many things in the world to worry about, with the least being Roger's health. Please don't quibble anymore. Please - each of you go back to your corner and take a deep breath, shake it off and just let it go. It's a senseless argument. Relax - please? |

Whoa whoa whoa.... Worldwecreated: Take a breather. You are still relatively new to be bursting out with this kinda posting. Online debating is like the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded. Got it? Take a breath, please. MarchOfTheDirtQueen: Mellow fucking out. Queens do not get flustered over this, and you shouldn't either, especially with a person who is still rather 'new.' It makes no sense!!! some people are not able to understand jokes, and probably never will. Understand this please. And let us not bring up the whole "you aren't worthy enough..blah blah blah" bullshit, okay worldwecreated? Not only do you sound like a stupid fuck when you say that, but you are just inviting all sorts of resentment towards yourself. Both of you: Ease up or shut up. Cheers But I still love you DirtQueen, and all the chicken you eat. |

I've watched the doc a couple of times (ok, the second time cos I'm laid up with a bad back and being stuck in front of the TV I couldn't bend to change the tape) and I can't see what it is that's got you all excited. And I DO usually study Mr Taylor quite closely. All I noticed were the usual goldfish impressions when he was jamming in the studio. Maybe I'll try watching it with my eyes open next time ... |
LittQueenie 08.12.2004 14:58 |
I saw Roger upclose at the WWRY premiere in Vegas - he looked fantastic! I was with the media and he was joking around and posing and laughing up a storm! I know that was back in September, but give the guy a break! He is just getting older (as are we all)! I also think he is really tired and needs some time off. IF there is something medically wrong with him, we need for HIM to let the public know at his leisure, that's IF he wants us to know at all - it is his call! :-) |
