Im sorry if some people are not happy with this question but i am just wondering...
I know Freddies voice sound different on Inuendo album...Is it the Aids that are effecting the voice, or his age, or becuase he was getting weak ?
thanx .
Freddie did still smoke in 1991 i think because in the intro to greatest flix II you see him smoking on the set of These are the days of our lives. I may be wrong though. if any of you have the video have a look in a minute.
I agree that is voice did sound much different from their previous release but the range was still there, epecially on the title track.
Probably from both the illness and the fact that he stopped smoking.
Freddie's voice changed due to smoking, drinking and getting old. I think his best years were 77 and 91, it was incredible that he had such a wonderful and powerful voice in the last days.
yea, it's combination of everything, i think age has a lot to do with it, on innuendo his voice was great, but i don't think the aids thing had anything to do with it, he knew it would be the last time he sang so he gave all he got with great results.
little bit off the subject, but did Brian ever smoke? In one of my fan club mags, i could swear that his has a cigarette burning in an ashtray in front of him...does anybody know? i know it is a stupid question, but i was just curious.

I also think his voice changing was due to smoking, drinking or getting old as you mentioned. But his vocals were amazingly wonderful, especially in the wide-ranged voice showing much matured skill.
I believe his work with Montserrat caballe made his voice... evolve.
In the upper range, he's using his headvoice with less chest resonance, that's like... 80 or 85% head resonances and 20 or 15% chest resonance, instead of the, perhaps, 75% head resonace, he's using
Those notes above High C sounds more brilliant, and clear than ever. His upper range from Barcelona on (The Miracle, Innuendo and some stuff from MIH) sounds better than ever. It's like he developed more control of the high register.
it could also due to studio trix.he couldn't tour anymore so they made sound his voice more amazing.
i don't believe freddie could have sung these songs live.they 're too difficult
Oh yeah... well, Made in Heaven counts 1/3... most lyrics have been sung before Innuendo. Strange... I forgot about Made in Heaven though I always considered it being a real Queen album. Hell, not that I want to start that discussion again
his voice became alot smoother and softer as he got older. i think it was probably a combination of smoking and aids. despite this he was always an amazing singer, no one can compare to his voice, especially these days
