I "won" a Queen 4 Faces Banner Flag off of eBay. It is about 4 feet across and 3 feet deep. The banner has the four sitting which is the same pose from the cover of The Works vinyl album. There are four photo inserts across the top of the banner - three of Freddie and one of Freddie and John. Slanted across the lower left corner it says Queen in large white letters. It has two cloth red tabs on the left side by the top and bottom, I assume for hanging the banner. On eBay the photo of the banner itself looked really faded - mostly shades of gray, and it looked creased. Maybe that is why there were only two bids on it. The seller said it was found in an antique shop. Old, new, whatever - I love it, and I got it for only $13.49! Does anyone know anything about this banner or other Queen banners. Were they flown/sold at concerts, etc.? Thanks!
If you post a link to the auction, you might get more replies. Banners were sold at concerts I'm sure, and the fan club probably had some at some point, not to mention any third party that sold them over the years. A picture would help us figure out where your banner came from.
Zeni the Wet Sprocket, thanks for the suggestion. I am a computer novice, so I don't know how to put links in a bulletin board. But here is the information off of eBay: link
The one you bought does look nicer. A couple of the pics toward the top are from A Kind Of Magic stuff in 1986, whereas the main pic is from The Works circa 1984. Since the pictures are from different albums, I'd bet this is a third-party banner and not one made by Queen at some point. Others would know more.
