I know that people keep saying that Bri/Rog can't work under then name of queen. But they are 50% of the band and have the right to do just that. Let's face it Kiss/Purple/The who and many more have managed - so queen can too!!! we might not like it - but they are allowed to do it!!
One stipulation from me would be instead of choosing a vocalist who's currently unemployed - why not pick the best man for the job - wherever he's working now
my list would include:
Billy squier - has been mates/worked with queen 20yrs
Nuno Bettencourt - extreme - great singer - idolizes queen
Ronnie Dio - great vocal range
You really don't get it do you?
There are lots of bands that have lost members, but continued. Ordinary members. Queen lost their leading star. Only Ac/DC managed to replace their leading star and remain succesfull.

ACDC replaced the irreplaceable Bon
I know this is a queen site but I just thought I'd mention that I saw Purple 2 weeks ago and Gillan still sounds amazing. He looked like a twat in his white pajamas, but sounded great. And Ian Paice.Wow.Anyway back to Queen. Why not an unknown with a similar range to Freddie? I've made my feelings clear in other posts about calling any comeback Queen but lets face it it is going to happen and of course I'll be there to see them which I suppose must seem a bit hypocritical. If they could be arsed to audition singers the result could be something very fresh and energised instead of having some rich demi legend fronting the band.It would have to be someone with balls like watermelons of course but It could be great. Not a replacement for Freddie of course, nobody could be,but it could result in some great new music.
i know NUno is a guitarist - so is Billy Squier
i was looking at additional guitarists who can sing
as opposed to a frontman - then there's no direct comparisons to freddie if Bri/Rog and whoever share the singing duties
