I can't believe that so many people want Greatest Video Hits 3 next - over and above some great live stuff. What is going on????? |
Lester Burnham 25.11.2004 00:40 |
I'm going to jump in and say 'yes', especially my alter-ego, iGSM. He's out to get me, I swear. With that said...GVH3 is going to be a money-making scheme, as it'll contain videos from only one album. I'd like to see how they get 17+ tracks, plus bonus material, out of that one. I'm really looking forward to another live release...wait, scratch that. I want the fucking box sets. Is that really so much to ask? |

Carrot on a stick game. We're just at their mercy, I guess. |
iGSM 25.11.2004 01:47 |
Yes. Lester is mad. I would prefer live stuff. Just has a more personal touch to it. |
Daburcor? 25.11.2004 02:57 |
I want GVH III. I want some Innuendo songs in surround. Insane? That's up for debate. |
Whisperer 25.11.2004 03:03 |
I too want GVH3 to complete the GVH-collection and to watch and listen to some of their best songs in 5.1-Surround. |
Flashman 25.11.2004 03:13 |
Well, we'll be getting it whether we want it or not. At least I showed a little imagination by voting for Earls Court. |
Fenderek 25.11.2004 08:31 |
Insane is a very good word... Would rather have DVD-A of "Innuendo" and some more live DVDs... First we complain about them releasing old stuff over and over again and than- we want this as a next release and are disappointed with sth NEW because the bonuses are not right or something... I want Huston, Earls Court, both Hammersmiths, etc. Don't care if the picture or sound will be perfect- I WANT THEM OFFICIALLY RELEASED! That's all. Couldn't care less about GVHIII... |
agneepath! 11994 25.11.2004 08:47 |
I'm looking foward to ADATR DVD-A! |
love of my life 14018 25.11.2004 09:06 |
I voted for Hammersmith '75. I wouldn't mind GVH III, but I don't think there's enough material to make it worthwhile. As much as I would love to see the videos (as I'm the only person on the planet who hasn't) and listen in surround, I don't think that GVH III should be a priority. Live shows first, people. |
Mr.Jingles 25.11.2004 09:58 |
I think calling people insane for that is just too much. I mean, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and yes there are many live releases to look forward to, but it's not as if the next Queen DVD release is going to be the last release to ever come out. Brian, Roger, and everybody at Queen Productions did an excellent job putting together the Greatest Video Hits I & II DVDs, along with the many extras and audio commentaries. They really made it worth getting those DVDs, even if you already owned them on VHS tapes. Hopefully on the next one we'll see a possible track listing as... 1. Innuendo 2. I'm Going Slightly Mad 3. Headlong 4. The Show Must Go On 5. These Are The Days Of Our Lives 6. Resurrection (Brian May) 7. Driven By You (Brian May) 8. Too Much Love Will Kill You (Brian May) 9. Hapiness (Roger Taylor) 10. Nazis 1994 (Roger Taylor) 11. Foreign Sand (Roger Taylor) 12. Heaven For Everyone 13. A Winter's Tale 14. Business (Brian May) 15. Why Don't We Try Again (Brian May) 16. Pressure On (Brian May) 17. No One But You Most of the 'Made In Heaven' videos are just not worth putting inside the collection. What's the point of watching a Queen video without Queen on it. At least they should have included archive footage or something related to the band. Extras... - Freddie Mercury tributes worldwide - The 'Made In Heaven' recording sessions - Starfleet (Brian May) - Man On Fire (Roger Taylor) - Strange Frontier (Roger Taylor) As you can see, I'm really looking forward to see promo videos of Brian and Roger, since the only way available to get them is through bootlegs. At least the Freddie Mercury videos are available already through the solo box set. |
Saint Jiub 25.11.2004 10:15 |
Insane is an accurate word - especially when some people hallucinate song lists despite the fact that QP never listens. |
gabriel79 25.11.2004 11:44 |
pressure on is from rog,not brian. i believe they're never gonna put rppg and brian solo videos.they'll just cover gh3 tracklist+some bonus material on the second cd |
John S Stuart 25.11.2004 11:53 |
I too voted for Greatest Hits III because I agree with Mr Jingles - to a point. However, rather than include Brian or Roger material, I think this should be the definative final "Queen" Hits. As yet UNRELEASED Keep Yourself Alive promos. (You can actually watch bits of these bonus tracks on the double VHS set - for example the bits when Brian wears his mum's old white coat - the whole version of this exists). Further BBC (Old Grey Whistle Test) Jazz promos for Jealousy. The newly restored Dave Lee Travis Top Of The Pops "Seven Seas Of Rhye". Mimed performances from Japan and Australia. Marry that lot to the official videos not yet DVD released, along with original EPK's (the making of... Headlong etc) and bonus material like No One But You, and "Made In Heaven" insights - PLUS 5.1... Now That's What I Call DVD III! |
Lester Burnham 25.11.2004 12:53 |
If GVH3 has solo material on it, clearly the band have sunk to a new level. Like John said, there's probably enough material that we haven't seen that could pad out the final collection. |
Whatinthewhatthe? 25.11.2004 12:59 |
I would like to see the rare, unreleased versions of the Innuendo videos, like IGSM and TATDOOL. That would be lovely! Also, a "documentary" on the creation of the IGSM video. I know it's out there somewhere! More older concert videos as well...and that damned Rarities boxset, if it ever gets released in our lifetime... |

There are no promo vids to Why Don't We Try Again and Business. |
iGSM 25.11.2004 18:48 |
< What are these mimed performances? Particularly the ones from Australia? |

Maybe I'm crazy, but I voted for the 1975 concert because I want to see Freddie and the others perform in those outrageous costumes!!! I want to see Freddie perform with thight, makeup, the works! |
Awesome-O _4000 25.11.2004 22:30 |
I mean "tights", my bad |
Lord Blackadder 26.11.2004 13:50 |
It's gonna be all the Innuendo videos, all Made In Heaven videos plus No-One But You. That makes 11. Adding on 6 won't be to hard. I just hope there's alot more inside the making of stuff like on GVH2. That was gooooooood. |
Journeyfan05 26.11.2004 13:55 |
It'd be great to see some concerts from the 70's but greatest video hits 3 should be released first. They'd most likely put solo stuff on there as well which would be pretty cool. maybe some live performances of post freddie Queen |
Vad 26.11.2004 17:05 |
Does it REALLY has to be a 2-disc release? Why not just one disc, including the remaining videos and extras?? that would make it solid and cheaper, and full Queen's. |
Whatinthewhatthe? 26.11.2004 21:27 |
Two-disc sets are the norm with most Queen DVD releases! It's nice to have one with "extras" and possible hidden Easter Eggs. I'm still trying to find the ones on Wembley, Jewels and On Fire, no luck as of yet. |

To my great shame, I've never been aware of this. What does it look like. Is it available on the hub ? |
YourValentine 27.11.2004 11:46 |
"The Business" is not the usual promo video. It's an hommage to Cozy Powell who had just died at the time of the release. You have footage from the Back To The Light Tour intercut with Brian talking about Cozy Powell. The last 1+ minutes of the video is only Brian talking and no music at all. I think it was on the UK single and - yes it's in the hub :) |
bitesthedust 27.11.2004 13:13 |
I voted for Hammersmith 1979. |
deleted user 28.11.2004 07:45 |
Thanks a lot for clearing this up, YV ! So it was the enhanced section of the Business CD. I know that one, of course. I really don't consider this as being a promo though ;) |
