I'm sorry if this has been here before but...
What the hell is that incredible noise in the middle of 'you take my breathe away' on earls court? a vox amplifier coming out of the sky?
thanks
Sounds to me like whoever the first person was to actually leak the pro-shot in the first place tried putting something on there in order for them to be able to trace exactly who it was that traded it on.
I know a number of people that have soundboard recordings / pro-shot film beta masters and trade them to very close friends, but then make a tiny edit somewhere int he show so that if a copy appears on the open market, they can tell exactly who betrayed that trust.......
That's an interresting bit of info. I had no idea people did that.
BUT...
It does seem that Freddie acknowledges the noise, but moves ahead anyhow.

Unfortunately I cant find the particular thread that it was posted on, but I seem to remember that the noise was believed to be a roadie either shutting a door or dropping a mic. Maybe somebody can confirm this.
If you have ever moved an old guitar amplifier (when it's on), that is exactly the sound it makes. So most likely someone bumped into/moved an amplifier backstage or on the side of the stage. At least so that the sound came out of the PA system.
Freddie does acknowledge this sound but carries on. In other words, we can forget the nonsense about someone adding this noise later on, only to be able to trace down the person who "betrayed" someone's trust..

For this case we can, anyway. This is certainly something that is often done by collectors to autograph their material.
in this case, the noise was not added, but original in the recording.
My copy can be traced back to the UK fanclub, only 2 people are between Jacky and the copy which I have.
I got my copy in the mid-nineties, in a time that editing videotapes was a bit harder :-)
I can assure you that this noice is in every copy you can find on this rock!
Maybe it was Roger. It sounds a bit like his toms to me.He could be highly strung at times and he trashed his kit at the end which usually suggests he was pissed off about something.
