....just kidding :) Seriously, has NOBODY recorded the damned show on video/DVD yet? |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 18.11.2004 18:54 |
Ok, Dark, if nobody else admits so, I will: You got me this time, you sick kid! :D |
Pim Derks 18.11.2004 19:28 |
Not funny Dark. Well, you wouldn't understand anyway. |
Adam Baboolal 18.11.2004 19:45 |
Hmm... does this mean I should work again? I do have it in full. Give me till tomorrow. Peace, Adam. |
inu-liger 18.11.2004 21:42 |
Thank you, Adam! |
Adam Baboolal 18.11.2004 23:39 |
I promise nothing. Then I won't have to explain myself if it doesn't happen. Mmkay? Peace, Adam. |
Bob The Shrek 19.11.2004 00:05 |
I have it on video. |
Maz 19.11.2004 01:18 |
I trust that you will offer something back to the QZ community soon, Dark, rather than be one of those users that only posts when they want something? |
deleted user 19.11.2004 01:41 |
Is it quid pro quo now? Quite unfair... |
Maz 19.11.2004 01:48 |
It just seems as if Dark's made several requests of late. I hope it's not a trend on his part. |
inu-liger 19.11.2004 15:18 |
Zeni the Wet Sprocket wrote: I trust that you will offer something back to the QZ community soon, Dark, rather than be one of those users that only posts when they want something?Eventually I'll give something back. Perhaps I'll upload some rare tracks from the Hub that are not otherwise available online, depending if I can find a proper server that'll allow mp3 or zip files to be directly downloaded from the links outside of the server's page, etc. |
Adam Baboolal 20.11.2004 00:38 |
Well, here's something I put together. The Alright Now performance = 10.9MB link Should I do the rest, including the ceremony? Peace, Adam. P.S. If it's not working within 5 minutes of the post. Wait another 5-10mins. |
YourValentine 20.11.2004 03:11 |
This link does not work at all, Adam |
Daburcor? 20.11.2004 03:24 |
I'm interested in the ceremony. If it's no trouble, I'd love to see it, Adam. |
Schlipsi 20.11.2004 06:21 |
Try this... link |
Rien 20.11.2004 06:36 |
Thanks Adam. Would love to see the rest. |
Mr Mercury 20.11.2004 06:56 |
Yeah thanks again Adam, would love to see more of the HOF on vid if its at all possible. |
YourValentine 20.11.2004 08:35 |
Many thanks for reposting the link - it works now. I wonder in which way it's different? Thank you, Adam, for sharing the video. |
Adam Baboolal 20.11.2004 09:01 |
Thanks to Schlipsi's quick thinking for correcting my link. There was an extra space at the beginning of the name. Woops! Anyway, it's fixed now. I'll see about trying to get the rest done today and tomorrow. Peace, Adam. |
tomnever 20.11.2004 09:23 |

This is just to thank you once more, Adam! ... Ok, I admit: and also to put the topic back up in the top of the notice board, in the hope of seeing the rest of the videos ;) Cheers, Ogre- |
Adam Baboolal 21.11.2004 12:46 |
lol Sure thing. I actually took a break from it cause I'm frantically trying to get my theatre project finished within 2 weeks. But I'll definitely try and get the other videos done. Heck, I'll take a look right now. Peace, Adam. |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 21.11.2004 13:03 |

Thanks! Also eagerly awaiting the other tracks on video!! ;-) Btw: who IS that guy on the bass, we don't get to see him that well?? |
Pim Derks 22.11.2004 07:55 |
Pino Palladino. He also plays with the Who. |
David Jones 22.11.2004 10:50 |
For some reason I haven't been able to download the audio or the videos off Adam's site :-( Is this something to do with user limits?... Pino Palladino also played bass at the Party At The Palace, I think he played bass during "Queen's" set too... |
The Mir@cle 22.11.2004 14:29 |
I've the same problem David. |
YourValentine 22.11.2004 14:45 |
Maki has the audio now and Rien the video, so everybody should be able to get them. |
David Jones 22.11.2004 16:13 |
Thanks YV! I got the audio off Maki's site, just couldn't find the video, but I'll download it right now! Cheers! |
Danne 22.11.2004 16:59 |
Are the videos of the other songs also online now? Do you have a direct link? |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 23.11.2004 07:40 |
I guess not yet Danne, but I think I'm ready for them now :) |
Adam Baboolal 23.11.2004 08:38 |
I had the video done yesterday folks and tried to upload. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I'll try clearing some webspace and see what happens. Peace, Adam. |
David Jones 23.11.2004 11:57 |
Cheers Adam, these are great! |
Adam Baboolal 23.11.2004 20:17 |
It keeps failing to upload, even though I've freed some space. I think I'll cut the vid into 3 for easier uploading. Cross your fingers. Peace, Adam. |
karen 23.11.2004 23:58 |
Ain't technology great? Us folks in Oz (that's Australia) don't get to see this great stuff. I was wondering how I could get hold of HOF vision, and now I have seen a little bit. Thanks a lot Adam - some stanger on the other side of the Earth. (although Queen fans are one big family aren't they). P.S. First time I have seen Paul Rodgers perform too - not too bad... |
Danne 24.11.2004 06:48 |
I keep my fingers crossed!! :) |
deleted user 24.11.2004 12:33 |
Yeah so am I |
Adam Baboolal 25.11.2004 10:04 |
Ladies and Gents, apologies for the time it's taken to get this up here. But I finally got a splitter for the big video file and now it uploaded the files fine! It's in two parts: 1. The induction video and speeches - 9.59MB link 2. The performance afterwards - 12.3MB link The video splitter MIGHT have messed the video playback a little bit - colours-wise that is. But it's not going to affect actual playback. Peace, Adam. |
Jjeroen 25.11.2004 10:12 |
Thanks a lot, man! I'm going to dl them as soon as I get home tonight!! Cheers, J |
David Jones 25.11.2004 10:18 |
Hmmm, still can't seem to download anything of your site Adam, and when I try to open the page, it says theres nothing there.... :-( |
Adam Baboolal 25.11.2004 10:39 |
Works for me. If you're lucky Rein will upload them to his own space like the last one. But I can't do anything more. Peace, Adam. |
Mr Mercury 25.11.2004 10:44 |
Once yet again Thanks Adam. Excellent stuff |
Rien 25.11.2004 11:11 |
Thanks very much for making these available. I think it's a stunning performance! Tonight I'll make them available on my site as well. (my guess is that that's ok) |
Adam Baboolal 25.11.2004 11:23 |
No problem at all, Rien. I'm not bothered about bandwith, but I know it does matter for you. Which is why I think it's great that you're still willing to give people on here a further place to get these files. Peace, Adam. |
k-m 25.11.2004 11:31 |
I'm just watching the performance. It sucks big time!!! |
Hank H. 25.11.2004 14:31 |
Thanks Adam/Rien for uploading! Yet I don't understand what all the fascination is about. I like Paul Rodgers's singing in general. To me, Allright Now was... ok, nice, but far from "stunning". WWRY was... well, I wish I could forget the whole song, I am really sick of it. Maybe that's the problem. But who's not? Especially when they try to extend it where there really is no potential to extend. Boring. What happened to the guitar solo? Champions was nice, again liked the vocals, but I really can't stand overdoing them like Rodgers did. All in all, our daddies looked silly again, trying to look as if they were rocking the world with those two bumptious, totally worn-out, not really original songs. |
Rien 25.11.2004 15:14 |
Brian and Roger are 55+ years old and if you watched the HOFclips you can see they still ROCK. They still can make an audience go wild. The music sounds great to me and I must say Rodgers has a great voice. (no he's not Freddie etc etc) Of course I would love to hear them play some other songs but these two songs are just right to set the mood to ROCK and to UNITE. To me this performance was great indeed. |
Hank H. 25.11.2004 17:05 |
Okay, I know you liked it and it's fine. I don't want to condemn them, I see it's possible to like their performance, they also obviously like the role they now play, I just said I found it very average and would-be heroic, and also a bit undignified and therefore sad. |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 25.11.2004 17:06 |
Thank YOU SO MUCH, Adam!!! How many people also watched the event, recorded it, and could also have done us a copy? But you, busy as you were, you were the one who cared. TY! And thanks to Rien, yet once again. The guy just doesn't get tired, does he? :) As for the performance, it was awesome. You can see that Brian is having fun, and that's when he does his best. Roger still rocks (and bitches) the house! Paul is a frontman full of energy, with a great voice and a (nice) style of his own. I think he certainly deserves the job for the time being. After all, the real owner of the position can't really perform right now, except in our minds and hearts. And of course, in our DVD players, VCRs, mp3 players or... ok, he's almost everywhere in my life, so many years later. :) Cheers, Ogre- |
karen 25.11.2004 19:39 |
Thanks again Adam for the vid. There are always going to be people who like or don't like Paul Rodgers. If BM and RT are serious about re-forming, it will be up to them won't it? |
GiantSpider 27.11.2004 17:11 |
Can I justa ask who else played? Was it: Spike on the keyboards Jamie on the guitar & Pino on the bass? |
Daz85 27.11.2004 17:17 |
Yeah, it was Pino on bass. I believe he stood in for John Entwistle when he passed for The Who. I don't know why people get p*ssed off just because they play WWRY/WATC. They certainly played it more times when Freddie was around and I don't anyone complained then... However, my asumption is, because they're arn't lots of these appearances, people would rather they make the most out of the situation by playing something more 'interesting'? Well, hopefully a tour would rectify that and that's where our view on the whole "should they/shouldn't they" situation would be more constructive. |
mickyparise 27.11.2004 17:41 |
From the United States, thank U VERY MUCH ADAM! Wonderful.......and appreciate it..... THANKS! |

shambapoo 29.11.2004 11:06 |
Have finally seen for the first time and it's the best thing Queen have done since the tribute. Paul Rodgers has the 2nd greatest ever voice in rock so is a fitting singer. He doesn't try to do a song exactly the way Freddie did. The whole thing got me more excited than anything since Made In Heaven. As for the person who said Paul Rodgers wouldn't be able to handle the balads they obviously know nothing of Paul's other songs with Free and Bad Company. E.g. Don't Say You Love Me, Feel Like Making Love, Lying In The Sunshine etc Live I'd certainly rather hear him doing a slightly different version of Who Wants to Live Forever than Brian struggling to sing and play at the same time. Call it Queen + Paul Rodgers and do half Queen and half Free/Bad Company Noone else needed to sing. |
shambapoo 29.11.2004 11:10 |
Forgot to mention I was lucky enought to see Brian and Paul R play together at Wembley for the Strat Pack gig. They were great then too, the highlight of the night. |
David Jones 29.11.2004 12:12 |
Many thanks to Adam and Rien! |

Sir GH
ah yeah wrote:In case you are referring to me, let me stress that I didn't complain about the "new things", i.e. their collaboration with Rodgers and the unfamiliar song, but mainly about the choice and way of interpreting WWRY and WATC.Darren Robins wrote: I don't know why people get p*ssed off just because they play WWRY/WATC. Okay, it was a HOF induction, I see they had to play those. My problem is they ALWAYS play almost ONLY those songs, and still after 27 years, and behave as if they were still as exciting as in 1986 or earlier, while they are clearly not FOR ME. While some people seem to be exaggeratedly enthusiastic, some others are countervailing it with (exaggeratedly) gloating comments. That must be allowed, it's not only about finding something to complain about. It also isn't terribly difficult to find something to complain about. Finally, I would appreciate listening to new material of BriRog and PR, but I obviously don't see the signs you see yet that this might happen in the near future. |
