Sorry if this has been asked before guys, but is there anywhere I can get the whole Queen part and the Freddie Mercury & Brian May part of Live Aid over the net? Because my family have had a few problems lately and we can't afford a whole Live Aid box set for 2 performances.
Thanks in advance.
Rien (link made it available in the past on his site... but since it is now available on DVD (and for charity!) I don't think he will be offering it again.
Edit: On his site you can download the Queen Live aid rehearsal and interview
Thanks guys, I suppose I'll have to, BTW, I imagine your the same Rien as the one who owns QueenParadise, and y'know I own the exact same Freddie portrait as you! Weirdness...
The money from the Live Aid DVD goes to assisting those who through an accident of birth have lived their entire life in insanitary conditions starving to death. In some cases their own government has been robbing them blind and/or misinforming them about AIDS prevention, leading to an HIV epidemic to add to dysentry, cholera and lots of other diseases your doctor could cure very easily.
So, while I sympathise with whatever personal difficulties your family is currently going through, perhaps you'd like to get a sense of proportion, count your blessings, and then whinge about your inability to afford a different release?
PG: I agree 100% with you but Perry is 14 - and kids that age (particularly in the UK) have no understanding of the real world and how lucky they are.
I was once told if you had food to throw away you were in the in the top ten per cent of the wealthiest people in the world.
I don't really give a shit about where the money goes, no matter if it's some bastards in Africa or some rich guy in the UK. It is MY MONEY, money that I have worked to earn, that goes away from my wallet. That's the only thing that matters.
I'm certainly not gonna spend 40€ to get 25 minutes of Queen (don't care for the rest).

AHA! Someone who thinks like ME!
I mean, I care about Africa and stuff but all I am asking is Queen's performance.
Queen's performance was wrongly ignored in the US! Strangely, Led Zeppelin stole the show in the US although they said they played poorly. Queen did well in the UK portion of the show.
I love the 4-DVD box. Queen was definitely the best, but I love the whole show. The money is more then worth it. And come on, don't be selfish. Let the African people have something to eat too.

I was fucking 5 and I got it...
What the f**k is wrong with the world today... Suddenly 40 euro for charity is so bloody difficult...
Just watch the BBC NEWS report from 1984 at the begining of DVD- if it doesn't move someone in any way- IMO this person is a wanker...
At the start of the concert, when Charles en Diana enter Wembley, Rog Bri and Deacy sit behind them. But I don't see Freddie. Was he preparing himself somewhere else or something?

he was at home with jim or maybe talkin to elton or someone else
He was probably at the doctors, he had a throat infection on the day of Live Aid and was strongly advised not to perform.
