Yesterday I managed to buy the We Will Rock You show from Montreal and I'm amaze with the sound and the video quality. I have to say that the picture quality is by far better than the Wembley 86 dvd, considering that wembley is 86 and montreal is a couple of years before. Si I checked and realized that the WWRY concert was released by pioneer and I've done a great mastering this piece of art, and I think that wembley is just average - poor image quality, does anybody agree with me?
WWRY looks better than Wembley because WWRY was shot on film. Film can be restored better than video (though I'm surprised they couldn't digitally remove the interference on that one bad Wembley camera....)

Yeah, I also think that the differences in quality are mostly caused by the quality and the format of the master tapes...you can't compare these things that easily.
WWRY was shot for Imax which means it was meant to look good streached accross a huge screen.
It better look good crammed into a tiny TV.
As for the sound, I could go either way.
""yellow blurry stuff..."
More commonly known as 'felt tip marker pen' on the lens.
More accuratley known as light streaks when the camera is pans away from the bright lights head on. You can see it a fair bit on MK too.
One of the disadvantages that video cameras have against film cameras and why I can't wait for Budapest (also made on film) to be released on DVD...which unlike WWRY actually had a decent audience and was filmed better overal...
HD-DVD/Blu Ray.....BRING IT ON....but not for MK and Wembley though!
