Now I see the already infamous Colgone press conference is mentioned on Brian's site in regards to new songs being written.
It quotes Roger as saying "Guitarist Brian May and myself will be writing new songs after Christmas..." Did he really say this, or not? Was this a case of something being lost in translation? (being SERIOUSLY lost in translation!) And would he really say "Guitarist Brian May" when Bri was sitting right next to him? Very odd stuff indeed!
Yeah, but this time the interview is published on Brian's site without any comments. That is odd. Brian denied the facts of an Austrian newspaper. Though this looks like the same interview, it is a German paper. And there is no sarcasm by Brian...
Well, the WWRY press kick-off was basically about erm... WWRY. Brian, Roger and Ben were answering questions about the musical for half an hour. I know that Brian and Roger did various interviews afterwards, so the quotes might be from one of those interviews. There have been several reports on German websites, like for example the magazine "Stern", about future records and tours. But, I might stress, everything is highly speculative.
I don't believe the speculations anymore. By the way, I heard this week that there will be a Dutch WWRY musical in 2005. So Bri and Roger will be busy with the musical for at least one more year. And then will follow Malta, Lavia, Estonia, Andorra etc.
Looking at the interview on Brian's soapbox again, I realized Roger's picture. Take a look yourself and tell me if you don't see a quite obvious gesture that comments on the whole interview!
I don't know about the Cologne press conference, but on the Moscow's one Roger said he's going to record some new songs and MAYBE some of them together with Brian. It's true. But he didn't called him 'guitarist', 'doctor Brian Harold May' or whatever :)

Ive heard that WWRY Baghdad is sheduled for 2013 so dont get your hopes up.
My question is similar to Shane's:
How can you totally misinterpret an interview to include that information? If it is rubbish, as Brian claims, then why make it up from the goings on of a press conference? This just doesn't make sense.
The press conference went on for hours and I am sure the German papers and magazines did not make up these quotes out of the blue. They did say that they want to play live under the "Queen" name again and they did say they think about writing new songs. Not that anybody believes in such alleged concert and studio plans but why tell such stories in the first place and then deny them - this is weird.
Recently Brian called the story about the German court case "rubbish", too. Later he had to admit it was true after all but instead of conceding that his lawyers made a mistake he blamed the German Judge for applying the law. It looks like Brian does not respect the people here very much.
Yes, and didn't Brian go out of his way the other day to say how much he enjoyed the Cologne press conference, that it was actually fun?
This seems odd to me.

can you give me a link to the article on Bri's soapbox?
