The Smashing Pumpkins By then, March of 2000 the band was close to disbanning. I met them when they released their album 'Machina:The Machines Of God' and decided to do a promo signing at the HMV Record Store in New York. We were standing on the line for like 6 hours straight. The worst part is that for like 4 or 5 hours the line didn't move one inch and we were close to giving up. Besides, it was early March and it was freezing cold like you couldn't imagine. I'm not exactly the biggest SP fan on earth (although I love their material from 'Siamese Dream' and 'Mellon Collie'). My friend Christine is a huge fan, so I decided to go with her and hope for a great chance to meet them. We came too late to see them play, but I guess people who were waiting since the early morning were the only ones lucky enough to see them. By the time the line started to move we got really excited. Billy Corgan looks like a gigantic alien, but I shook his hand and I told him that he and the band were awesome. I also met Lindsay Lohan once, but that was long before she got the fake tities. She's from Merrick in Long Island, NY. I happen to live in their neighbor town, Bellmore. I used to work at a supermarket back then, so one day Lindsay Lohan and her mom came to my register. For once I looked at her and I felt like I've seen her before. At that time she was only known for 'The Parent Trap', so I couldn't really tell who she was. It wasn't until my supervisor came to ask for an autograph for her daughter that I found out who she was. I still wonder what guys find so hot about Lindsay Lohan (aside from the falsies). She has so many freckles that she looks like someone sprayed syrup all over her body. |

Very nice gentleman (unfortunately, I was one of the thousands who voted him out of office) I've also met local A-Channel TV morning show celebrities Mark Scholz and Steve Antle (on seperate occasions each). |

I've met Bruce Willis inside a restroom. No joke. and DON'T FUCKING START. I worked at a Six Flags park, sweeping midways and cleaning restrooms. When I went to clean my assigned restroom, there he was pissing in the urinal. I did what I was supposed to do, namely, sweep the paper towels off the floor, mop the wet spots and make sure the restroom is properly stocked. After he was done with his business, he washed his hands, I said "How's it going, Sir? Everything fine?" He said yes, and that was that. Never asked for an autograph, because it was Park policy not to 'aggravate' VIP's, and not act like a nuisance. That was that. And, BTW, he was wearing an In N' Out shirt, a red baseball cap, Nike shoes and jeans. |

Got auto's from the 3 Sum 41 guys and the NBC lead singer, on my two Pepsi promotional concert passes (which I still own!) and the t-shirt I was wearing to the concert (dunno if I still own or not!) I've also met the girls from LiveOnRelease, and got an autograph from them on one sheet (which was tattered last I saw it - dunno where it is!) I also met the boyband VIP (Voices In Public), who later turned out to be just a one-hit wonder group, with that song "It's Just My Luck" (or whatever it was called - shame too, cos it was a catchy song as well!) |

Ah yeah! I've also met Guitar Hero from this board (Bob Wagner), by coincidence! (He happened to be visiting Edmonton, and I was in the same guitar shop he was at, which I used to visit a lot, and I heard him playing Queen tunes on the guitar - he really DOES put the Hero in Guitar Hero!) We chatted for a few minutes before going where we each had to go. He was a very nice fellow! |
