Here's a snippet from the Cologne-Press-Conference, roughly translated by me (please forgive me). But interesting. This is no fake or wishful thinking, I read it in a newspaper. Here we go:
Roger: We don’t see us as solo-artists anymore, we have to continue the Queen-history.
Interviewer: Does that mean, there’ll be a new Queen-album?
Roger: Yes, there will be new material in 2005. And it will be released under the name of Queen. After Christmas we’ll go into the studio to work on the new album and on a tour.
Brian: We’ve been playing an aftershow-gig after every musical-premiere, and that was so much fun, that we have to go on tour now.
Interviewer: Who will sing? Robbie Williams? George Michael?
Roger: With Robbie it would be certainly a great tour, but the risk that he wouldn’t come to the shows is too high, cause Robbie is no teamplayer. And there were never plans to do something with George, his music is too much away from Queen. Brian and I will sing some songs, and Paul Rodgers from The Free will be on board.
"Paul Rodgers will perform with members of Queen at the first annual UK Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Thursday, November 11, 2004. The show will air Sunday, November 14, 2004, on Channel 4 UK TV 21:00/9:00pm."

Right. That's just for the ceremony. According to Bri's Soapbox, it most certainly will not last.
But that doesn't matter too much. New Queen music in 2005! Mark your calendars! Lock your doors!Blast your favorite Queen album to the max volume and rejoice! The legacy of Queen lives on...
"I read it in a newspaper"
Must be true then! ;-)
Would be nice to hear some new sounds. I just hope they don't try and get too soppy or morbid. Some heavy rock tracks would be good and some guest vocalists. Hopefully we'll also see Deacy on bass, but I don't think that's likely.
Anyone notice on the interview with Bri and Rog in Munich on MK that Brian said there were lots more songs recorded for Hot Space, but they only put on the songs they felt went together.....wonder how many more tracks there were.
Plus Roger has said there were 20 or so tracks for The Game
Best Case scenario for the new album would be 11 or 12 songs with 4 songs sung by Freddie and the rest sung by Roger and Brian. And I *really* hope that Roger sings some of Brian's songs and vice versa. I don't want them to only sing their own stuff.
Anyway, roll on 2005!
If they do tour i will definately try and get tickets, could be the last chance we get to see..well whats left of Queen, i mean Brian and Roger arent getting any younger! I wish them luck with it
roger talyor said in a new interview that there could be a new album if there's enough material, but are gonna slow down the musical and concentrate on new studio work and live stuff possibly with paul rodgers on vocals sometime afer christmas.
And there you have it:
Thomas Zeidler's short interview with Roger Taylor was broadcast on Rock Radio on the Queen Hour last Sunday...
Quotes:
ROGER TAYLOR: "We are planning some more material and we intend to work together [with Brian May] more. I think after Christmas, this year, we will completely slow down on the We Will Rock You [musical] front and maybe concentrate on, you know, some new studio work and maybe some live work."
"We have some collaborations coming up."
New album?
"Well maybe, if we have enough... we have some great singers that we know and I think Brian [May] and I would sing some and then we will get some great singers... we are talking at the moment with Paul Rodgers who is.... who we always liked as a singer and he has an incredible voice."

Now it's almost official that they will tour .. still 'almost', but at least more official than one month ago :P .. what do you guys think of that other promise; a new album with some new stuff?
