It's amazing :D
I got a horse :D
I've been saving up for quite a while now, and I was planning on going to buy a horse next month. I actually had an appointment at a stable to come and look.
Now Friday, all of a sudden, my riding instructor came up to me, asking me whether I was looking for a horse. I said I was, and she told me to come along to some stable I never heard of. Sunday: we're getting in the car, and my instructor asked me what kind of horse I was looking for. I told him I wanted a horse I could just have a good time with. I really wanted a good competition horse, but there's a lot of risk, because he/she might turn out to be not all that talented, and a really good horse is waayyyyy too expensive. He explained that this was a training stable, but since they had to close due to financial circumstances (god knows what happened there), they had to close, and because they wanted the horses to be sold to people who would take good care of them, they were way underpriced.
So we arrive, and we're being welcomed by the boss himself. Because the instructor already had an appointment to buy horses for the riding school, and there was no-one else there, I was left to find my own way in the stables.
I see horses, all of them really nice, and then I see him...oh god...The most gorgeous horse you've ever seen.... and he cost €2500! After a while, the owner came back, and I told him I'd like to have a closer look on the one on the left, 8th stable, and turns out he's trained in jumping (m), dressage (m), and he's trained to pull a wagon.
He got him out, and I checked him, no defaults, saddled him, rode him around a bit and I can tell you, I was absolutely in love.
So we set a price, (we went from 4000 to 2500), the vet came and checked him yesterday, and today I went to pick him up.
He's at my place now, where he still has to get used to the idea of a huge stable, and our little sheep lady, but they seem to get along fine.
His name's Fuego, he's a lusitano, 1.65 high, stallion, and he is like his name: a real fuego.
Gorgeous! link
