It's so nicely done in Fat Bottomed Girls where they 'cleared' Freddie's cracking voice ('... in this locality'). You would never know if there wasn't the bootleg.
And - I don't mind they did it...
I have to say- nor do I; they did really good job with it and... it just sounds better... Good thing is- they left all other stuff- Brian messing chords in "Now I'm Here" opening, the cable falling off during "Dragon Attack" and especially- Guitar Solo, the tunning problems just before "Dragon Attack"... It's pretty honest, apart from FBG... But yeah- I agree, I don't mind... And his voice that day (actually- almost entire tour!) was truly amazing!!!
Besides from that: to me this is one of Freddie´s greatest performances ever.
His voice - cutting as a razorblade!
His stage performance - larger than life!
Pure energy!
so let's get this straight
they can tinker with the recording of his voice on MK and release it
but they won't fix the probs on Earls Court and get that out?
strange how the better concert is getting "shelved" for a while, but i do think i know the reason why....commerciality
earls court - great as it was was 77 - therefore only 1/4 of hit catalogue to sell to the gen public
wheras MK had approx twice as many hits in the running order - the public are more likely to buy stuff they know - and let's face it the numbers of dedicated fans go not generate big sales. But the general public do - and MK - for all it's shortcomings is the bigger potential market seller
