I simply want to make exact copies of CDs and need a program that preserves the original countdown pauses and stuff.
Nero doesn't seem to do this.. it turns the pauses back into silence on the previous track, which technically is all it is.. but it annoys me.
Exact Audio Copy doesn't seem to work with my drive. I get silent discs.
I tried one called Alcohol 120% but there's too many combinations of ripping/burning modes and again I can't find the right combo to preserve my beloved pauses.
I used to use Roxio and it did it right.. but I'd rather not go back to that if there's something else.
Surely there must be something that simply copies a disc and burns the new one exactly like the original?
Thanks Jingles. I'll go back to Roxio. I just tried 'ConeCD' and it did the same thing.. changed my pauses back into silence.
Here's what I'm talking about: The Hollywood 'Queen' CD has a 5 second pause between Seven Seas of Rhye and Mad The Swine.. which is a good deal, since it's pausing before bonus tracks. So Seven Seas of Rhye is 1:10 on their version.. then it pauses for 5 secs. Well, I make a copy and Seven Seas of Rhye just keeps going to 1:15 and there's no pause. It drives me batty! I love pauses! That's why I got into using Nero, so I could add my own! A bunch of silence just isn't the same. I'm too anal.
Back to Roxio I go.
