What is this?
I Have the Hollywood NOTW, but, how do I know that this is the botched "It´s Late"?
Well I can't really back up that statement :) I just think it might be considered a bit rare since they fixed the problem and reissued the CD.
I wish I still had a file of the error version for you to listen to.. but here's the proper version, so if it's missing the first part of this, then it's the error version: link
Hehe, 'Rocks' is fine for It's Late, but ironically it does contain that nasty glitch on the intro to Fat Bottomed Girls... and guess who mastered NOTW, SHA for Hollywood and Rocks for the whole world? Yep, the same guy.. Kevin Metcalfe. He has a great ear for either causing or missing the opportunity to catch and correct little errors.
I don't remember a glitch on FBG on Rocks, whats the glitch? All I can remember is a little clicking sound during the second "OOOOOOHHHHH" in the intro, but I doubt very much thats it.
That's the one. Since it's a digital error it may process differently depending on players/error correction and only sound like a click to you.. it's more of a nasty squeak on my system, but either way.. it should have been caught. It's the intro for heaven's sake! Don't they at least listen to a LITTLE of each track during mastering or prior to release?
Worst of all, it already existed on the 1994 remaster of 'Jazz' (in Europe) according to Justin.. so it not only got through that time.. but a 2nd time!
My dream is that they release the hits collections as card sleeves, and take the opportunity to correct this glitch at the same time. In fact they need to start over and remake that album at a more reasonable volume level too. It suffers poor quality from being 'clipped' in my opinion.
