I do apologize for being one of the masses who uses a 'username' rather than my real name here. It's a pretty common practice but for me personally, I'm not trying to hide, but merely for the fact that *anyone* can read this stuff and I don't want some nut showing up at my door who doesn't like something I said. We have some rather unbalanced people (one in particular) who harrass people from here. Also, there are some young members whose safety is probably helped out by being as anonymous as possible. It's not any kind of conspiricy to allow people to say what they want without putting their names behind it, it's more of a security issue. |

It's doubtful that this is Evan for three reasons: 1. The writing is better than he ever displayed. Compare GB's other post in the QP Pissed thread to some of Evan's posts as evidence. That post shows some intelligence, especially when it comes to Queen collectibles. 2. Evan's problem was with me, not YV. As far as I know, YV never really talked with him and it was I that banned him. There's no reason for him to start attacking YV when it's me that he hates. 3. You can't see this on the new board, but the old board shows GB's registered date as January, 2003. This is someone who created a username 18 months before Evan ever showed up here. PMA mentioned it might be MadTheSwine, a user who did personally attack YV before. That's a better option in my mind. But it's still obvious that this poster has no clue what he's talking about. |

I sent him the links to the threads and about 20 minutes later he made these two posts. This is 4 days after those threads had died. So I know it's him. While I don't agree with his criticsm of YV and I'm not sure why he singled her out, that's not really my business. I can certainly understand his frustration after reading everyone's comments. |

Everyone knows I am a new fan so these delicate details about what rare tracks or sound board quality tracks are out there and what aren't isn't very important to me at this stage of my fandom. I'm still sorting through officially released things since I am new. I am grateful to the few of you that have trusted me to make some trades here and there and taken the time to answer questions I have. If it were not for this website, the people on here, and the chatroom I'd not have hardly knowledge on Queen or anything to listen to or watch from Queen. You can not learn everything about Queen from websites or books, it is important for the fans to interact I think atleast. I think this is what the frustration between the hardcore fans and QP is; that the fans want some more material to be able to enjoy the band they all love and some have devoted numerous years and dollars to follow. They know it is there yet its being withheld from them for no valid reason it seems. Correct me though if my observation is false. I'd be mad as well if I were them but like I said I am not at that level of fandom yet with Queen. I fail to see the reasoning behind calling Barb out though. Honestly this looks like maybe Greg had a few too many beers and decided to get on here and let some frustration out. I have no idea if I am right or not though. I have never pulled up all of Barb's threads nor read every single thread she has posted, but I highly doubt any of them are drivel. Barb does not say much but when she does, it is worthy of knowing, from my point of view that is. There are some posters on here that I don't even bother opening their threads, but Barb is not one of them. If she has something to say/write, I read it. It's worth it. She is a very knowledgeable fan as well as a nice person, and has always been more than willing to answer all of my stupid newbie questions. The same goes for Jeffrey, Zeni, Hans, SallyJ, and Pma. I don't know many more of you but I am sure that you all would be more than willing to answer anything that was put respectfully towards you. My guess is that Barb will handle this thread no different than any other of the useless threads on this board, not that most of the responses to this thread are useless, bc they are not, but I am pretty sure she won't even waste her time to justify this. I could be wrong though and if I am, watch out GB! I think you have already seen that YV is very beloved here. I've only been around a year and I know it. That should be worth something to her character, I hope she thinks so atleast. |
