One of the jewels of the English landscape is the Lake District in Cumbria, with beautiful lakes and mountain views, it is one of my favourite places to visit.
How much, I can hear you all ask, does it cost to visit such a wonderous place? Well, I'll tell you........
From where I live, about £50 in petrol, a few pounds for food and car parking, a new pair of underwear after shitting myself driving up Wrynose & Hardknott Pass and........
£700 for a new fucking gearbox PLUS £352 for the warranty on the car that I bought and which the car dealer never registered!!! My brother in law is going to check if the dealer is still trading for me - he better not be or else I will be down there and will cause a lot more than £1,000 of damage - what a CUNT.
Bob, I thought you were gonna say what a great time you had, as soon as you started on the gearbox part I was laughing my head off, not out of spite but out os sympathy. Im sorry mate. I think youll find that a lot of car dealerships tend to sting people. As long as theyve got your cash, a lot dont care what happens after youve driven off the forecourt.
My folks love the Lakes, hopefully youll be able to go again soon and really enjoy it, sorry I laughed, it just tickled me.
No probs, BMW, I will be laughing too - as I scartch the paintwork of cars on the garage forecourt.
I have spoken to the RAC Warranty people and they have basically told me to sod off - so I might be up to Sheffield to give them a piece of my mind too.
I'm off to find Savile East Street in the Don Valley......
Heads will roll
