I walk half my journey to and from work every day and sometimes if I go into town I walk there but catch the bus back because it's all uphill.
Going TO work it's more of a necessity because the buses are crammed full of brats on their way to school who have no respect for people who have to work for a living; going back into town FROM work it's more of a winding down thing, and it's downhill all the way.
I own a car which I love, but I'm very big on using public transport (even though for the first time in ages, my bus broke down on the way home from work yesterday :( ).
I walk to and from school, because my mom makes me . . . but usually I'd much rather drive. Actually, I probably would be very glad to walk if I didn't have to have a huge, heavy backpack with me, and if I could wear any shoes comfortably, but life's not that fair . . . plus, I'm in love with my car, so I'd rather drive it anytime. I like public transport too though, it's fun, and really convenient!
I do a bit of both. To get to work I have to get a bus, then the metro, and then a bus again. After that I have to walk for about 15 minutes. It takes me about an hour all together, and I do enjoy the journey, but at times when it's raining I really do wish I had a car.
i enjoy almost every morning a more or less 35 minutes ride to the school, but if i have to wake up early, i would rather take the metro...
anyway, for me is
90% walk
5% metro
4% bus/other
1% unknown... :)
Hm...Drive: 90%; Walk: 10%; Mass Public Transportation: Well, there isn't any here. And if one were to use a bus or something, generally he or she would have to drive to the bus stop at least 10-15 minutes away.
