I read somewhere that the group preferred the live one rather than the studio one because it was heavier.
Actually, Brian said that SP sounded even better live than in the studio, and stronger. But it doesn't mean the rest of the band thought so. Perhaps they did, perhaps they didn't
for all those who say SP sounds better live because they used more guitar and less synth - there is a demo version of SP without any synths, but it sounds even less enjoyable as the version with synths. I like the live version more, but especially because of the drum pattern, and it is played slightly faster (i mean....)

The studio version in an incredible acheivement, mixing trademark Queen with other styles. The horns, the multiple Freddie vocal tracks and the slower tempo make the studio version superior in my eyes.
Live was good, but a lot of the elements that made the song special in the first place were absent.
What an energetic song!
I really love both studio and live versions of it but prefere live at the Milton Keynes.I can't wait to see the whole concert.Just few days...
This song is a pain in the neck for Roger. I've heard that this song was exhausting to play for Roger, just like Now I'm Here. But he did it very well. It's really a great drum-track, Roger is drumming fantastically here, just great.
