I have a question for a long time... Is the last track on made in heaven is a miss for freddie??? Every time i hear it i'm almost crying... especialy when he laughs in the middle.. |
juls 08.10.2004 20:16 |
Hi, do you really listen to the last track on MIH??? What a Waste of time :) |
Gunpowder Gelatine 08.10.2004 20:20 |
I've only listened to the last track a few times, but the whole album has kind of a down feel to it. Even upbeat songs like It's A Beautiful Day sound sadder just because you realize what had to happen for the album to be made. |
AlexRocks 08.10.2004 20:56 |
I listen to it! I think it is brilliant! Even as simple as it is! I just have to remember to turn it down at the right times because it gets too loud! Otherwise it is too soft at times! |
BiggyRat 08.10.2004 22:18 |
What is there to listen to Axel? The odd word or laugh from Freddie, but basically it's 23 minutes of silence. |
Adam Baboolal 08.10.2004 22:53 |
Very nice track. Soothing and thoughtful. Peace, Adam. |

Would've been a hit single, that one. |

Yo the last track in made in heaven som freaky tingz happening on it!!! man every time I here it I have a mental picture of a very ill Mercury laughing in the studio, I think its trying to capture his joking side during the daunting time... the daunting can be heard by the Indie vibed synths thats going around and every time Freds voice was dubbed on it really haunts da fuck out of me!! and when I say capture his I mean its the fact that they repeat his laughs, his most humane and basic laughs, unlike the the almighty voice he showed in that album.. one time I put this on fa me ta sleep may be it was last year somtimes and I had a Mercury nightmare which I neva had before!! |

but haven't Bri and Roger both said that they didn't know how to end "the final track on the final queen album" - so it kind of went on a bit they also decided to put all the "heaven atmospherics" in and then fell on the idea of the very final thing you hear on the very final queen album coming from Freddie |
Scirocco1977 09.10.2004 11:18 |
Acutally it had the same problems as BoRhap. They were told to cut it down to 3 minutes so they can get airplay and a topselling single, but they refused... Nah, but I kinda like it. I don't listen to it very much, but it is nice for relaxing, and thus, I don't have to buy a New Age-CD... |

I haven't heard "Track 13" because I have a strange version of "Made In Heaven" which ends up with "It's a Beautiful Day (Reprise)" however I did hear the remix of Track 13 did by Ross Robertson you can d/l it from link it's rally worth listening to. And I've got a question (please excuse my ignorance) but what the DoRo shortcut stands for? |
Scirocco1977 09.10.2004 13:08 |
DoRo is the acronym for the two directors who did several Queen videos... Hannes DOlezal and Hannes ROssacher. Doro's videos are much discussed among Queen fans since they oftentimes cut and paste videos together, which gets boring after a while. I personally cannot stand them because their accent sounds sooo disgusting ;). |
MatiasQueen89 09.10.2004 15:58 |
It's called The Immortal Spirit (I think). I think it's like a dream..... it's like the "peace" after the AIDS fight... Brian said that David Richards was just fooling around with the synth and the chords of It's A Beautiful Day and made them loop forever... so Brian and Rog went into the studio and added the voice of Freddie talking through strange echoes and lots of things..... it's like a surreal requiem..... |
Lester Burnham 09.10.2004 16:14 |
Ooh, The Immortal Spirit...a decent name for the track. I always thought it would be called A Taste Of Heaven, as it's just that. |
Penis - Vagina 09.10.2004 17:10 |
I always named it 'The Journey'. How cheesy. |

Scirocco - thx for explaining Hematose_Sulna (I hope I haven't mispelled that) - my version has got definitely 11 tracks, I have hard "Yeah" (I d/l it from the net). What's the reason? In Poland foreign albums are often released without any bonus material (I'm happy that I have the reprise of ISABD though :) |

I think these are private feelings 'bout this track and there is really no need to argue about it. Adam - I enjoyed your version of "A Winter's Tale", did you do all the synths and other music yourself or only the vocals? |

Just wanted to tell you that I love this song. It's spooky because of Freddie's laughs being repeated and stuff... but it sounds wonderfull... I think it's a great ending to a great album.... It's a pity...that they had to release it so soon.... would've been better if Freddie would've lived longer.... But I love it.... and I don't care spending the whole day listening to this.... you just can't describe it in words.... And about the crying...yes... I'm one of those persons that cry during this song too.... |

I only was crying while listening to "No - One But You" from "Rocks" album. |

what a waste of time the last track is!!! im sure if i bothered to listen to it, i may like it... but really! its a 20 minute instrumental, and its not even heavy guitar! its piano or the triangle or whatever! im sure it means alot to the other band members, but ill stick to the other tracks... that aren't so long and have vocals. |
Regor 11.10.2004 04:55 |
I do like it a lot, nothing to listen to every day, but quite interesting. Mabye the kind of thing musicians get lost in whilst sitting at the mixing desk. (I don't want to get into the "musicians" discussion, but...) We recorded a few tracks with our band in a small studio of our own, which belongs to our drummer. Every free minute we work on music. When we get too involved in our own material we tend to break away from the mixing of our songs (mainly bluesrock) and start to experiment in "reason" (musicsoftware, a virtual studio) just to get our heads free, a breather from the rock-thing. Sounds and beats are constructed around some coincidentally arisen hook-line. It always turns out to sound pretty ambient- trance- or trip-hop-like. We develop those "tracks" to a certain extend and then they are left in the virtual vaults of our mac. It's selfindulgent but fun, and always pretty atmospheric. One can really get lost in creating those walls of sounds and dynamics of different moods, as there are no boundaries when you approach music like that - you dont have to follow a verse/chorus-rule or anything like that. As David Richards was "fooling around" with the chords of IABD I think it was quite a similar thing, just experimenting. But this time it fitted the intention of the album and the boys liked it as a kind of requiem. I think it's nicely constructed. |

i always listen to it when i have to study or something... i´ve never listened to it alone. |

It has its value if it's listened in context of the whole album. And for Queen fans especially. I listen to it from time to time (not too much though). On the other side - for people not interested in Queen music (who don't know what's behind it) it's IMHO long and boring piece of strange sounds. And I must add, I don't find anything so special in music here. I think it isn't necessary to overrate it from this point of view. |
thequeenling 11.10.2004 15:49 |
I bougt the album last year and i couldnt stop listaning to the last one...didn't give it a name so much but when people used to go out the house i would open my window and turn it up LOUD :D its bloody gorgeous!!! I never heard Fred laughing in it...i heard someone in the song saying 'are you running??' and then at the end Fred says 'FAB!' and It's really funky how they add some of their previous songs into some of them in Made In Heavan...abbreviations are buggers... |
GonnaUseMyPrisoners 14.10.2004 00:42 |
I feel sorry for the simple souls who don't get this track. I am SO THANKFUL it was chosen for inclusion on MIH. It's not named with a proper SONG TITLE for exactly the reason you guys don't like it: it's not a SONG. It's music: sound in time. It's evocative of the empty and haunted sentiments that were so dominant in the lives of the other 3 bandmembers and most Queen fans in the early 90's. And it makes me shake with longing to hear Freddie's voice again. It makes me cry. and cry. and cry. It's painful. but it's beautiful. it's oh, so beautiful. |
Fenderek 14.10.2004 08:31 |
I listened to it few times only since I bought this record... I dunno- at least it's better than Hot Space ;) |
