Allow me to quickly explain why this trend is annoying.
People like me have very little time to visit QZ. We make the effort because we like to communicate with friends who share a common interest, whether it involves trading music, discussing the band, or various other things.
I do not have the time to read each and every thread. I generally pick out those that appear interesting by their name, or are started by those whose opinions I find interesting.
When I find the board littered with pointless thread after thread, many of which have over 25 responses by people who seemed to register last month, I lose the energy to visit anymore.
If Zeni leaves QZ, some will rejoice, others will wonder why; either way, it's not the end of the board. But when many of the long time posters leave the board, which I suspect has happened a lot over the last few months, the board suffers. Intelligent threads that stimulate discussion are being replaced by sarcasm, anger, and narcissism. There is no foundation to spur discussion, and eventually, the board dries up.
I figured I'd give a reasoned post as to why this behavior is bad. The fact that is will go over the head of most of the posters around here is probably a sign.....
Yeah, please stop the banal and pointless posts everybody, if only for the sake of Zeni's sanity.
She's even started referring to herself in the 3rd person now...
