I Planning To Make An Huge Web Site With 12 GB of Queen Stuff This Web Site Will Have Everything So Does Any One Have Any Suggestions On What I Should Put On Or Make The Site With.
Holy friggin crap. What the hell is this??!?!?!?
Anyhow, with the site, just think about it. Queen's a particular enough band that certain things should pop into mind when thinking about design. Frilly, perhaps, but more cool frilly if it must be frilly. Pink bow ... erg.
And this crap ... caer baer or whatever the hell your name is, stop using this just to get friggin entry ranking points. It's idiotic and completely pointless. Were you stoned? Or dare I ask? Hmm.

First of all, you shouldn't use caps for each and every word you type, cos it's very unpleasant for the eye.
Second, if the site "will have everything", then you'll "put on and make the site with"... "everything", am I right?
If you wanna fill in 12 GB with Queen stuff, then you must think about their biographies, the story of the band, discography, lyrics, news, pics, games & entertainment, concertography, solo works and so on... That's what I did when I built my Queensite (it's the first Romanian Queensite, so I wanted it to be that way, full of different stuff) and it only reaches 18 MB, so I can hardly imagine what you could do to reach the awesome number of 2 GB. However, if you want to talk about it off the board, write to me: brimay@queenzone.com
and I'll be glad to help.
Btw, you should first look for webhosting, cos at this size (2 GB) it's kinda hard to find any server.
Cheers!
That's never going to work out very good I'm afraid. All of those free webspace providers have limitations on bandwidth, and they end up only working part of the time when you're sharing the site with hundreds of people.
It's a noble idea but you're going to get lots of complaints from people because Tripod will have shut it down 'temporarily'
Just get this program link
And run the website from your own computer. With that program you can make a server so you can run the website without no size limits or bandwith limits(depending on your internet connection speed, if you have at least 512/512 dsl you should be able to run the server.)

Yes, but won't it be necessary to keep the PC open 24 hrs a day and 7 days a week and be always connected? I'm asking cos I'd be interested in running my own website from my computer, mostly to get rid of the popups and the banners of my free account.
Tripod or Geocities aren't very reliable indeed. If I were you, Mercuryworks, I wouldn't go for one of this servers. My site is hosted by link and it's been online since July last year. I use to check it almost daily, at different hours and I hardly had any problem with it. You can upload up to 50 MB, your bandwidth is 2 GB and the max file size is 256 kB. I'm very pleased with it and the only reason I'd love to have my own server is, as I said, getting rid of the infamous popups. But all in all, it was a good deal and I'd recommend this server to anyone... If you want a paid account, then there are many webhosting services ready to do your job (I think even 50Megs has a 2 GB package). You'd better leave Tripod alone...
