I have recently come across the info about the demo version of this song featuring Freddie singing and playing piano. Does any of you know whether this has already leaked or not? Or maybe it does not exist at all.
Forgive me if this topic has been discussed but my search seems not to work properly.
Thanks in advance

Excuse me John, but I'm going out of my head... Is your signature taken from a lyric by Cradle of Filth... I've been banging my head on the keyboard for half an hour because I know where it comes from but I exactly don't remember...
Thanx

I thought I had something that points towards this. However, not what's talked about. But I've uploaded a clip for some to hear - link
What strikes me about this is that the vocal is very proud of the mix and the elements are different. Ideas?
Peace,
Adam.

Are u sure this is not an attempt at an acapella mix using both Cool Edit and Soundforge to strip the backing away - or have I just missed the point?
Yep, just sounds like a heavily manipulated version of the original. The 2nd one is hardly stereo either. Faked if anything.
I didn't realize you were the type for this sort of 'joke' Adam. My Mad The Swine remix was much more advanced than this ;)
PS- What happened with the AOBTD remix?
Ah well, hats off to Mr Mercury for seeing it for almost exactly what it was! Sorry, got bored tonight and felt like going into crass mode. Never again, I swear. Dib-dib!
Yeah DF, I'll have to look at that mix soon. Unfortunately, not much time to cause I'm working on a band's demo. Spent 3 days recording them and now I've got to have their 5 tracks all mixed and completed for this Saturday.
Btw, it's kinda weird cause when I compare your full mix to the bits you upped for me, the vocal is a tone down on the full mix. How'd that happen?
Peace,
Adam.

I can only imagine that in the process of trying to match things up, I may have slowed or sped one of them and perhaps reversed what I did after it was mixed? I have no clue.
All I know is the instrumental is faster than the original so I had to screw around to get them to sync for even a couple lines at a time.
But now you've got the same I had to work with and can try to do it better :)
PS - Suddenly developing a sense of humor can be dangerous when nobody expects it of you :-P
That reminds me of some of those lyrics from 'Cats' like:
"Midnight, all the kitties are sleeping, all alone in the alley, they ate tuna again"
I think it was based on T.S. Elliot and that Andrew Llyod Webber sure knew how to tear at the musical heartstrings.

No, that's one of Gary Oldman's lines in Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Oh, yes Thomas, I already knew that... But I checked out and effectively it has been used by Cradle of Filth in one of their lyrics... I had that growl vocal line in mind and I couldn't remember where it came from...
Anyway, thank you for pointing it out!!!

Albyboy: "Is your signature taken from a lyric by Cradle of Filth..."
The fact is that ALL the above suggested answers are correct!
It began life as direct quotation from Bram Stoker's original vampire novel "Dracula".
It has since appeared in numerous vampire movies (including Bella Lugosi's 1930 Dracula original, Christopher Lee's 1959 Dracula remake, and Francis Ford Copella's Dracula - Gary Oldman version), theatre versions (like Phantom) and album lyrics (Like Cradle of Filth - and I believe "Shakespeare's Sister - but I am no expert).
It was also developed as part of an unreleased Freddie lyric, so I guess I use it because it has all of these meanings.

Thank you John... I remembered that line coming from the Bram Stoker's Dracula, but I wasn't able anymore to go back to the record where I heard it too... I know it was something black metal: I was really smashing my head... Today I checked out and found it was The Cradle of Filth... I'm getting old: I'm at the point at which you don't remember lyrics anymore... Maybe stop drinking would help... Or maybe increase the quantity...... Btw, John, nice signature... Very gothic!!!
