I don't know if this has been mentioned before but I was really surprised when I bought Queen Greatest Video Hits 2 DVD there was not one song/video from the Innuendo album like there was on the previous Greatest Hits 2 Video (Innuendo, Headlong, Slightly Mad, The Show Must Go On). Does anybody know why this is?
I feel like I just read this.
The videos were left off because the disc was only covering the eighties portion of Queen (GVH1 covered 1973 - 1980, GVH2 covered 1981 - 1989). Stupid idea, really, but whatcha gonna do.
Well, I look at it this way: at least with Innuendo videos saved for the 3rd, it makes it worth having. I mean if they weren't there, whatever else they came up with to fill a third volume might not be so appealing. And I want new items to buy, so.. it's more appealing to buy with those included.
I tried every which way to explain what I mean and I don't think any of it worked, but there you have it.
Yeah, hopefully GVH3 will be like this;
Innuendo
Headlong
I'm Going Slightly Mad
These Are The Days Of Our Lives
Too Much Love Will Kill You
Heaven For Everyone
You Don't Fool Me
A Winter's Tale
No One But You
Somebody To Love (w/George Michael)
Another One Bites The Dust (w/Wyclef Jean) (I'm hoping they'll use that unused Promo vid, it looks cool)
Living On My Own- [No More Brothers Remix] (Fair enough its a Freddie Mercury solo song, but it was a no.1 nonetheless so it would be a nice addition)
-Perhaps an unreleased track or two?-

I think they also are going to include 'The Show Must Go On', but let's see what Queen Productions has in mind, whatever it is, I'm going to buy it anyway...

Of course no unreleased tracks! It's a HIT compilation. They're sure to include SSOR (TOTP performance), and (hopefully) BOTH TATDOOL versions.
No unreleased tracks but maybe some unreleased video edits. How do you no SSOR will be included in GVH3?

B) They're desperately looking for a decent quality video recording of this, and I can't see what else they'd use that for.
Maybe for one of the bonus DVD's in the rarities boxset, assuming IF it ever comes out (what with Brian's over-promoting the worldwide versions of WWRY musical!)
Btw. I e-mailed Brian earlier and made some suggestions about some certain rare Queen and Queen-related videos they should put on GVH3
I can't see SSOR fitting in with anything on GVH 3. I think Inu's idea makes more sense.
As for rare tracks, they could always sneak something out by putting it as menu music.. I actually suggested this idea for the 'On Fire' DVD.. perhaps the 12" mixes of Staying Power & Back Chat :)
Thanks, whirled peas.
Well, what I suggested to Brian, (and funnily enough, I didn't mention SSOR (maybe cos I was only thinking of 1990 and post '91 material?),) was what videos he ought to look for and try to include on GVH3 as extras:
Charity videos (Smoke On The Water, The Stonk)
Collaborations
Post-2000 Queen performance excerpts (also including some charity concert references)
And a few other things, including alternate video versions (TATDOOL, NOBY, etc.). I'll have to thank Darren Robins for that wonderful Queen video references site of his ( link ), he has the info I needed in explaining what alternate video versions there were of certain songs. I don't even think Brian would have remembered himself about all these videos lying around!
I don't expect a reply really, but I hope he acknowledges my input somehow, in one way or another. But then again, I did also say "Good luck with the WWRY musical in Los Angeles when it happens!", so maybe there IS hope for a reply after all ;-)

Which did you suggest?
Read my last post. It gives a summarized idea.
EDIT: Just updated the last post
