I think BG would be the most suitable front man.. He has nice voice, he and freddie were good friends, freddie loved culture club. Boy george was often seen in freddie's birthday parties.. BG's And Freddie's cats got well together.. reasons enough?
I'm afraid Boy George would try to shag his drummer yet again. And this time it would be Roger. This could be too much drama!
Seriously though, his voice is great but I don't think he could handle the rockers. He'd be fine on ballads such as These are the Days... and Who Wants to Live Forever, but I can't hear him singing Stone Cold Crazy or Headlong.
Just because someone is gay it doesn't mean that they could front Queen. Is a no brainer that absolutely no one can take Freddie's spot... even George Michael being the closest to him in performance and voice quality, still wouldn't fit his shoes.
And Boy George? Pleeeease... why not Clay Aiken then.
I don't like when any bands replace any of their members. Even bands I don't like. I'd even be upset if Nsync decided to start up again and replace Justin. So, replacing Freddie would be blasphemy. I'm not very good at handling change, as you can see...

Hmm. Dunno about George ... and plus, Fred was Fred. That's that.

My favourite performances under "Queen+" would have to be the ones with Elton John, George Michael and David Bowie.
So, my guess is that it helps to be gay! LOL.
Seriously, though, I think that has to do with the circles they were in more than anything. Seal was pretty good too, and I like Liza Minella's voice, so those performances were pretty good too.

Lets face it , they can't replace Freddie with
anyone. They should just record new material with
Brian and Roger singing, simple as that. If they tour which they never will, Brian can sing lead.
Someone had suggested that Mike Patton would make a good frontman for Queen. I tend to agree, and is the only suggestion thus far that I find would be viable. All in theory, of course. ;o)
come on people... please stop making this nonsense topics. No one will ever replace Freddie:
Not even:
George Micheal
5ive
Will Young
Britney Spears
Tony Vincent
The Darkness
Boy George
And all those other lousy queen+ people who thought they were Freddie for a while...
Dream on! Fred is dead, no one will be the new Freddie! Never!

Brian's voice kicks ass. 'Love of My Life' on Live at the Brixton - it gives me chills. Besides, where do you think all of those legendary Queen harmonies came from - the almighty clogged one. I say just let Brian front the band if they ever tour again.
God i am so fucking sick of the stupid ass mother fucking questions, and the shit about replacing Freddie!!!!!!!!! GET A MOTHER FUCKING LIFE!!! GOD DAMN!!
I hate to have to add this. I know people say 'who will replace freddie' but my question is even if they got george michael (cos lets face it, hed be best- he has the most strength) who would replace deaky, the bassman who it is claimed 'never dropped a beat'????
