This newbie bashing should stop. Sometimes it's not even funny and it's even dumber than you might have thought the original question or comment was. I don't think the songs are musically similar but I could see some connection or equivalence between them like an analogy or something. "I Want It All" is a rock song with a repetitive motif for chorus, like "We Will Rock You". "Was it all Worth It" is a nostalgic 'looking back' and defying song. I could really picture it being played (at least a part of it) as the ending of a Queen concert, right before the WWRY/WATC encore. Like I said, they may not seem alike, but I think that this may be what the original question was about. No need to bash a newbie, specially if the question or comment was made in a polite way. It hasn't always been like this - back in the day when I was new I mentioned something about hearing the words, "but I'm adopted" in AOBTD and didn't get told that I was mentally unstable. Usually I am in defense of newbie-bashing, because I find it very amusing, and some of the questions asked are unjustifiably useless. However, this question wasn't bad at all. It's not something you can easily google, it's not something that's been asked here a thousand times before, and it actually makes you think a bit. So, Gills, sorry about the jerks. To answer to the topic of 03gills,I think there could be similarities between I Want it All(The Miracle album version,not the single version) and We Will Rock You for the drum intro which has the same pathos and Was it all Worth it and We are the Champions due to the fact that they fall in the same epic category,like In the lap of the gods or Friend will be Friends.IMHO of course. |
