Everybody seems to want to know 'what's the best Queen Song' or 'what's the best video'..... but how about What are the best solo tracks by each member (including The Cross).. mine are...
Freddie - The Great Pretender or Exercises in Free Love.
Brian - Starfleet
Roger - Beautiful Dreams or Manipulator
John - ....er.....There's no turning back.....(no much choice really!!!!)
My choices....
Freddie: 'Man Made Paradise' (or the '92 remix of either 'The Great Pretender or 'Love Kills')
Brian: 'Let Me Out'
Roger: 'Turn On The TV'
John: .....ummm.....yeah, you're right. 'No Turning Back' (but a heck of a song it is! :) )
<font color ="red">ThomasQuinn wrote: Freddie: Time, In My Defence or Guide Me Home
Brian: Resurection
Roger: Foreign Sand or Strange Frontier 12"
The Cross: Can't choose, so I say 'Heaven For Everyone'
Pretty much agree with that list, although I'd add Wilderness to Brian's list. Also, Exercises In Free Love gets me every time. I love that voice of FM on his solo stuff from that time period.
Hmm...
Freddie - "Living On My Own"
Brian - "Nothing But Blue" or "Teasin' Around"
Roger - "Future Management" or that other one I can't remember at this moment in time
John - "Man in the Shadows" or "Take Your Band and Shove It, I'm Going Home to Collect Royalties, Thank You"
-Amethyst

Freddie-
Songs written by him:"Made in Heaven"
Songs written by others:"Time/In my defence",it's impossible to choose one or another. But I love everything with the voice of Freddie on!
Brian-
"Too much love will kill you" for the soft side
"Resurrection" for the hard side
Roger-
"Foreign sand" all the days,an almost unknown truly masterpiece. If only Freddie had the time to sing in it,it would be the Bo Rap of the 90's in my opinion
John-very little to choose from,he was always dedicated to Queen. That's why his few(compared to the other members)songs are truly masterpieces. He never failed a song.
Sooo much to choose from those incredible talented guys!
Freddie: There Must Be More To Life Than This, In My Defence, How Can I Go On
Brian: Too Much Love Will Kill You, One Rainy Wish, Resurrection
Roger: Future Management, Believe In Yourself, Foreign Sand
I must say I like most of Freddie's solo work, but i love Guide Me Home and The Great Pretender. From Brian, I prefer Last Horizon, or Too Much Love Will Kill You, and about Roger And John, I really haven't heard anything form their solo careers so I can't say a word
Freddie - In my defence, Time, Love me like there's no tommorrow, Love Kills, My love is dangerous
Brian - Blues Breaker, Resurrection, Cyborg
Roger - Let's Get Crazy, Racing in the streets, Keys to the kingdom, Old Friends, Foreign Sand
John - NONE
Freddie- Man Made Paradise, How Can I Go On
Brian- Wilderness, Last Horizon
Roger- Man on Fire, Strange Frontier, Nation of Haircuts, Touch the Sky, and most of his excellent Fun in Space album...
John- his bass playing on How Can I Go On
