Worst Queen video?

One Year Of Love... complete garbage. |

Well there are quite a few DoRo videos that fall into the same category. 'Seven Seas Of Rhye' annoys me because they use footage from 1985 Japan (I think) mixed with 70s press junket stuff, and I hate when stuff isn't even from the proper era. 'Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy' on the other hand used an old concert performance which actually worked quite well since it was from the right period. |

Has anyone seen the 'Keep Yourself Alive' video? The early XX century film footage looks so damn cheesy. They should have just kept the performance and no clips at all. There's also a video for 'Stone Cold Crazy' for the Encino Man sountrack... Awful as well. |
| The Real Wizard 10.09.2004 01:18 |
The worst video is for Fat Bottomed Girls. Boring, crap lighting, one or two cameras, and barely any footage of Brian and John. Another One Bites The Dust is a close second. |
| Lester Burnham 10.09.2004 01:26 |
I'm not too keen on most of their videos. They may have pioneered the use of the medium, yes, but most of their early things are straightforward performance videos - boring as crap. That said, I'd go with 'Fat Bottomed Girls', 'Bites The Dust', 'Play The Game', and all of the DoRo cut-and-paste disasters. |

Under Pressure Crap, what else can I say. |
| KJ 10.09.2004 07:40 |
Body Language, horrible.... |

Awful as well.Hey! this is one of my favorite, I love it! I think worst are Queen Rocks Videos, Tie Your Mother Down, I'm In Love With my car, We Will Rock You, Fat Bottomed Girls, Sheer Heart Attack...but number one: We Are The Champions! (dear God) |
| Fenderek 10.09.2004 08:19 |
DoRo productions are crap- the whole ROCKS stuff, TSMGO; I also can't stand THE MIRACLE- too fucking sweet and tacky... ALSO- as mentioned before- FBTG or AOBTD... |
| Mr.Jingles 10.09.2004 10:37 |
DoRo did a lot of crap, but you can't take credit away from them because they did also good videos. Indeed the worst DoRo videos are the collages of recycled footage. |

Thank god no one has said Back Chat or Calling All Girls. I honestly think they are creative videos, though not as spectacular as Radio Ga Ga or Innuendo. My pick for worst video would either be Under Pressure or Seven Seas Of Rhye. Under Pressure, because there's no footage of Queen or David Bowie, and that would have been really cool, like pieces of them in the studio (couldn't be done though, because their session lasted one day), or on a stage or something like that. Seven Seas Of Rhye, because it's not really creative, plus it's just not consistent (footage from performance in 1985, though the song is from 1974). Any other bad eggs? lol |

Bicycle Race(greatest flix) MIH videos |
| Brian_Mays_Wig 10.09.2004 11:55 |
Yeah, Calling all Girls is crap, Back Chat is ok, Freddie seemed to be enjoying himself. The middle of I want To Break Free is shite and I never liked The Miracle. And Under Pressure, That just get skipped every time! |
| Gunpowder Gelatine 10.09.2004 12:02 |
The Miracle, Fat Bottomed Girls and Under Pressure, because they're just not the most interesting of videos. |
| Brimon 10.09.2004 12:43 |
We Will Rock You, a great song but the video is a bit feeble I think its the white boots, the first time I saw it, it made me laugh and I dont think that was the effect it was meant to have on people. For some reason it always reminds me of Sooty and Sweep. |

It's a Hard Life - listen to what Roger has to say on the commentary on GVHII! |
| Simmer 10.09.2004 14:08 |
I agree with Under Pressure. It's just boring not seeing the band... |
| Krizzy 10.09.2004 14:14 |
A HArd Life (sorry FM) over done to the max! The first Under Pressure video (sucks!) The newer one with Bowie interspliced with FM is dynamite by comparision. Kriz ;o) |
| nil 10.09.2004 14:23 |
Under Pressure, I always press FFW |
| ~Blue_Acid~ 10.09.2004 17:06 |
I dont know I really dont like bycicle race. Its too much freddie. And I think under pressure sucked as well as all the top of the pops stuff. I really like I Want It All and Breakthru. very good videos. |

(Most of) their videos are so terribly bad that I wonder why they keep releasing them. And why on earth people buy them. |
| Penis - Vagina 10.09.2004 18:18 |
I can't resist defending Under Pressure. I think the stock footage works brilliantly and it's been a favourite of mine since it came out, when MTV (US) played it constantly. |
| SergeantPepperDG 10.09.2004 18:41 |
I just like the videos when they "perform" (mime) the songs. Those are my favorite because they're just so simple. I don't care too much for the ones with actual stories or anything. Except for "I Want To Break Free" because I just like seeing people in drag. I only wish that they were in drag for the WHOLE video. The weird ballet/interpretive dance section kinda creeps me out. |
| 7Innuendo7 10.09.2004 20:45 |
the worst Queen videos are the ones on GVH 2 dvd which are garbled. Other than that, One Year of Love and The SHow Must Go On-- although both great songs-- the videos are somewhat lacking IMHO |
| Canadian May Fan 11.09.2004 08:34 |
Fat Bottomed Girls -- badly shot and edited Calling All Girls, It's a Hard Life, Back Chat -- see Roger's commentary (LOVE THAT PART!) I Want to Break Free -- couldn't keep it's story/vision straight (why do we jump from Coronation Street to a mine to a ballet and back again??) The Miracle -- strange concept, but then again I might like it better if I could stand the song. |

I didn't like body language either and Play The Game never did it for me as well. Pretty much the only Queen videos I highly disliked And this is my 2000th post :) |

Cigam wrote: I think the worst is umm.... I'd say, Staying Power (LIVE)Wow, that's surprising. That's one of the greatest filmed Queen moments, I think. |
| Matti 12.09.2004 00:59 |
I would say Under Pressure. I wish they could have gotten David Bowie to do a video with them. |
| Monte: Liquorice Years 12.09.2004 05:29 |
dont stop me now scared me! freddies hat keeps changing....wooooh! freaky shit dude! i hates calling all girls.... i was weird...and roger just bags it out the whole time!!! bahahah! it was so funny! and who wants to live forever.... that was annoying because it was to god like for me! once again, roger (the champ!) bags it out. he said he was drunk...hell! i know i would be! |
| onevsion 12.09.2004 08:46 |
I don't like WWRY.. the whole idea with the handclaps and boots.. mwoah... |
| Zander05 12.09.2004 14:36 |
I like Scandal, but Brian's guitar solo with all the paper flying around is stupid. I think the worst video would probably be the crap Bicycle Race on Greatest Flix or Tie Your Mother Down. I don't know why I hate the TYMD vid so much, I just do. |
| radio_what's_new 12.09.2004 18:19 |
Bohemian rhapsody is the worst video, (just kiddin) I think under pressure is total crap |
| Queenrocks4579 12.09.2004 18:28 |
Underpresser is by far the worst video because they dont make an appearance i hate that. I would have loved to see freddie and david sing it together in a video. Other than that i think they are all great and i want to break free is my favorite i love how everyone made a big deal out of it and freddie had his mustache still on it still cracks me up. |
