That's the way I've done it in the past, using two webspaces. I deleted all my old ones though and just have two now, and the first one is being used for my collection pages. But I suppose I'd need to create another one eventually anyway. What sucks is I can have 70 MB of space, but they have to be 10 MB each for 7 usernames. LOL Check back in a bit and I'll have your repost :) |

No problem :) I just added the next track. About the volume adjustment.. what I did was amplify the tracks each to the peak, lowest and average level of their originals on the 2001 album remasters. I sort of expected the 2001 remasters to all be close to a uniform level, but they do vary a bit. |

whirled peas, you should use mp3gain or wavgain for "normalizing" the volume. It gives a better quality according to some people with golden ears mp3gain.sf.net is the first link, i think this is enough |

Just to be technically correct, this is not normalization, that's why it was in quotes... You can check link and link for a correct definition. Replaygaining should be better than normalizing, but my tin ears don't hep m e a lot to proof it :) |

"A Kind Of Magic" simply has the "Ha Ha Ha Ha, It's Magic" line tacked on to the front. Stuff like that. |

No problem. Though I did the 'production' and editing for many of these, it wouldn't be possible without the kind help of people like Dan (Puppet Dangelus) and the encouragement from fans like you. Thank you all! I just added another account so I reposted track 1 & 2 here earlier (gone now). Yup - the Annie Crummer version. Annie is a legend here in lil ol' New Zealand and her link is that she plays the part of Killer Queen in the Australian production of WWRY. *Sigh* yet again EMI NZ failed to grasp a Queen oppotunity. The single recieved little promotion. Was only released in NZ so therefore became rareish! . Love the instrumental! Strange though - the Classic Hits radio stations here. Now and again field complaints that they play too much Queen! Haha! All good I say! |

That's a classic case of a an mp3 convincing me to buy something. Someone sent me the vocal and instrumental versions, and as soon as I heard the instrumental I really wanted to own the actual disc. Nothing against Annie.. I just gravitated towards having an alternate version of a Queen track in instrumental form. :) So I found it at link and the price was sure nice after the exchange rate, something like $12 shipped :) When I first posted the instrumental, quite a few people thought it would be better without the female background vocals. LOL |

Yup - I liked it and thought it was good to have the instrumental with out Annie's vocal as reference. So those bits of hers kind of detracted from the concept of a true insrumental. You did a great job! I love Annie Crummer. Awesome voice and all. But nice to have this as an alternative. |

We could call it a "Queen + Freddie Mercury" track :-P Actually I did that back in July: But since the Annie Crummer version is a little faster and I suck at synchronizing, it's not exactly perfect. I slowed down the instrumental rather than speeding up Freddie, which makes some of the guitar and stuff sound quite out of tune in places. I told everyone I'd have another try at it sometime, but so far I've managed to avoid it :-P |

The vocals came from an mp3 of one of the 5.1 mixes.. either GVH 1 or DVD-A (I don't have the ability to extract or record DTS myself). I think there's still drums and other stuff with the vocal, so it's not a true isolated vocal. My best talents are editing. I have trouble getting things to sync properly. Even after trying to adjust the speed, I had to paste Freddie in just a little at a time. It's tedious and frustrating. |

Actually I'm not sure. I thought it must be one of the rears because I don't remember it having bass, but the vocal sounds too echoey and I remember having to grab a couple bits from another track which were missing. Here's another one... That would be my 2nd guess as to which one I used, since it doesn't have the guitar over the 2nd verse. It was so long ago and I don't really keep records of what I do (I should). For the backing track, use the version I posted the other day.. Another_One_Bites_The_Dust-(2003_instrumental_edit).mp3 (Hopefully you saved that) Then adjust the speed if necessary... whatever works. Obviously I'm clueless :) I'm so clueless that I didn't even save a raw wave or CD version of that instrumental edit, so I'll have to redo it sometime if I need it. |

Cool. Got that too. Btw, I recently found that keeping records is the best thing you can ever do. I had to recreate MLHBS from my old takes. Luckily, there were old project files that exposed the original takes I used. Otherwise, I would have had to sit down and listen to everything to try and match things up! Anyway, are you saying that you're not sure about still having that synthy part stuff? Maybe you could put up a list of things used. I'm actually pretty sure I could get the vocal from the original stereo mix. But these are much appreciated. Peace, Adam. |

Synthy part stuff? There shouldn't be anything that isn't already in the Crummer instrumental or one of these DTS tracks. The instrumental is as it comes, except at :23 and 2:38 where I replaced some 'nah nah' backing vocals with stuff from elsewhere in the song. |

The backing track was posted a couple days ago.. which I mentioned and even gave the filename, so you should have that.. but here it is again. It's completely instrumental so all you need is your vocal of choice.. I've posted two and you said you could get it from the original stereo mix as well. What more is there? I'm confused. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX It's not exactly identical to the version I used at first because I still had the 'nah nah' backing vocals when I did it, so this should be even better. |
