Tracks from "The Eye"
| Penis - Vagina 06.09.2004 07:02 |
Here I shared my personally remastered 2 disc set of tracks from 'The Eye' computer game (long out of print). Some tracks were uniquely re-edited by me, glitches corrected where necessary, volume adjusted. This thread: /queenzone/387381.html Includes my description of the complete audio tracks from The Eye as they were originally. The project is finished :) |

Thanx a lot, that's very kind of you ! I've been looking for them for quite a while. They really sound great, can't wait for the other ones... |
| Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 06.09.2004 12:44 |
Thank you, Jeffrey! :D |
| syncursor 06.09.2004 14:07 |
Thanks whirled peas. This is great! |
| Lester Burnham 06.09.2004 18:54 |
Sexcellent. Thank you! |
| Penis - Vagina 07.09.2004 03:09 |
2 new ones just added. See first message. |
| jerome.wuzz 07.09.2004 04:00 |
Thanx again |
| joeyjojo 07.09.2004 08:25 |
Aw crap...forgot to grab track 2 yesterday. I don't suppose you could keep songs up for a couple of days with a bit of overlap? ;o) |
| Penis - Vagina 07.09.2004 16:01 |
That's the way I've done it in the past, using two webspaces. I deleted all my old ones though and just have two now, and the first one is being used for my collection pages. But I suppose I'd need to create another one eventually anyway. What sucks is I can have 70 MB of space, but they have to be 10 MB each for 7 usernames. LOL Check back in a bit and I'll have your repost :) |

| joeyjojo 07.09.2004 21:58 |
Thanks WP! |
| Penis - Vagina 08.09.2004 02:57 |
No problem :) I just added the next track. About the volume adjustment.. what I did was amplify the tracks each to the peak, lowest and average level of their originals on the 2001 album remasters. I sort of expected the 2001 remasters to all be close to a uniform level, but they do vary a bit. |
| MetzgerR 08.09.2004 06:41 |
Denki denki, Whirled Peas! |
| FriedChicken 08.09.2004 06:45 |
Very nice Jeffrey. Thanks! |
| kalmark 08.09.2004 15:51 |
whirled peas, you should use mp3gain or wavgain for "normalizing" the volume. It gives a better quality according to some people with golden ears mp3gain.sf.net is the first link, i think this is enough |
| Penis - Vagina 09.09.2004 02:51 |
I haven't been too fond of normalizing when I've tried it before, but thanks for the info :) New file added. Check first message. |
| kalmark 09.09.2004 06:13 |
Just to be technically correct, this is not normalization, that's why it was in quotes... You can check link and link for a correct definition. Replaygaining should be better than normalizing, but my tin ears don't hep m e a lot to proof it :) |
| Penis - Vagina 10.09.2004 03:24 |
Wek de buren! Alarmeer de nieuwsmensen! Opnieuw is een nieuw dossier gepost! |
| inu-liger 10.09.2004 17:40 |
Muoy bien, whirled peas! Thanks for sharing the MP3's! Gracias! Actually, I was wondering if you could make me audio or MP3 CD-R's of the eYe tracks, including your unique edits and remasters...? If you can, can you please give me a shout via e-mail? (You know my addy) |
| Penis - Vagina 11.09.2004 01:52 |
Richard, Canadian Customs is very strict. They open stuff and play it. Just look at this: link But anyway, no. New file just added. |
| Penis - Vagina 11.09.2004 09:14 |
I think by now folks will have caught on to these being posted and don't need a 2 day period to download. So I'm going to do 2 per day now. So another was just added. |
| Penis - Vagina 12.09.2004 06:59 |
2 new files just added. See first message. I believe there will be 4 files tomorrow, since 3 of them are rather short. Here's the updated track list (I've done some additional production since I began to share these) Disc One (43:05 without pauses) 01 - Modern Times Rock N Roll (1:42) 02 - Death On Two Legs (3:42) (2 tracks combined) 03 - You Take My Breath Away (3:12) 04 - Fight From The Inside (3:00) 05 - Get Down, Make Love (3:46) 06 - More Of That Jazz (4:29) 07 - Dragon Attack (4:18) (end edited to match original) 08 - Hammer To Fall (4:26) (intro and outro restored) 09 - One Vision (2:51) (2 tracks combined) 10 - A Kind of Magic (4:27) (2 tracks combined) 11 - Gimme The Prize (4:01) (glitch corrected) 12 - Don't Lose Your Head (1:56) 13 - Princess Of The Universe (1:06) ------------------ Disc Two (49:45 without pauses) 01 - Khashoggi's Ship (1:34) 02 - I Want It All (4:51) (Eye version 2 restored to true stereo thanks to a lot of work by me) 03 - Was It All Worth It (2:30) (two tracks combined) 04 - Headlong (4:43) 05 - I Can't Live With You (4:38) 06 - Ride The Wild Wind (4:41) 07 - The Hitman (3:29) (2 tracks combined) 08 - Made In Heaven (5:24) 09 - Mother Love (4:46) (end montage restored) 10 - Heaven For Everyone (5:34) 11 - You Don't Fool Me (5:55) (glitch corrected) 12 - It's A Beautiful Day (1:35) -------- Anywhere it states 'two tracks combined', this means basically what it says. For example, "Death On Two Legs" had its intro as a separate track so I put it back in place, "The Hitman" was two separate tracks which I combined at a logical point. "A Kind Of Magic" simply has the "Ha Ha Ha Ha, It's Magic" line tacked on to the front. Stuff like that. |
| jerome.wuzz 12.09.2004 07:56 |
So far, you've done a great job, i really enjoy these instrumental tracks :-) Thanx again |
| danielbuzz69 12.09.2004 08:25 |
Whirled Peas: It is so very kind of you to put these tracks on here for all of us-they are great! I was wondering though if you would be so kind as to put up the first two tracks again as I didn't get them. Many thanks Whirled Peas |
| Llisos 12.09.2004 10:50 |
Hola! Whirled Peas, I asked some days ago for some info about songs from The Eye and now you're sharing your collection! Very kind! Thanks! |
| Penis - Vagina 12.09.2004 11:51 |
No problem. Though I did the 'production' and editing for many of these, it wouldn't be possible without the kind help of people like Dan (Puppet Dangelus) and the encouragement from fans like you. Thank you all! I just added another account so I reposted track 1 & 2 here earlier (gone now). This new account means I can get even more of these done at once, so tomorrow morning I'll be able to post the next 5, maybe even 6 if I divide them up properly. |
| danielbuzz69 12.09.2004 19:21 |
Whirled Peas: Many many thanks for the repost again of the first two tracks. It is very kind of you Daniel |
| Penis - Vagina 13.09.2004 06:54 |
Just added six new tracks. One day only! :) Tomorrow there will be three tracks |
| Penis - Vagina 14.09.2004 09:04 |
I'm a couple hours late, but three new files have been posted. |
| Penis - Vagina 15.09.2004 06:43 |
Three more for Wednesday. See first message for links. |
| Llisos 15.09.2004 17:22 |
Thanks again! I'm enjoying these songs!! |
| the_bluepowdermonki 16.09.2004 03:18 |
Yes thank you very much - great value! |
| Penis - Vagina 16.09.2004 07:03 |
No problem :) I've enjoyed the project. Today's files have been posted and that finishes it off. |
| danielbuzz69 16.09.2004 09:23 |
I'd like to give Whirled Peas a Big round of Applause and many many thanks for doing this for us |

Aww shucks :) |
| jerome.wuzz 16.09.2004 15:34 |
That one's the icing on the cake. I've never heard about it, it's pretty cool. Thanx again for your eye trax and for all the editing work you made :-) |
| Gunpowder Gelatine 16.09.2004 20:34 |
These are all great. Thank you! |
| the_bluepowdermonki 17.09.2004 02:46 |
Yup - the Annie Crummer version. Annie is a legend here in lil ol' New Zealand and her link is that she plays the part of Killer Queen in the Australian production of WWRY. *Sigh* yet again EMI NZ failed to grasp a Queen oppotunity. The single recieved little promotion. Was only released in NZ so therefore became rareish! . Love the instrumental! Strange though - the Classic Hits radio stations here. Now and again field complaints that they play too much Queen! Haha! All good I say! |
| Penis - Vagina 17.09.2004 03:27 |
That's a classic case of a an mp3 convincing me to buy something. Someone sent me the vocal and instrumental versions, and as soon as I heard the instrumental I really wanted to own the actual disc. Nothing against Annie.. I just gravitated towards having an alternate version of a Queen track in instrumental form. :) So I found it at link and the price was sure nice after the exchange rate, something like $12 shipped :) When I first posted the instrumental, quite a few people thought it would be better without the female background vocals. LOL |
| the_bluepowdermonki 17.09.2004 04:28 |
Yup - I liked it and thought it was good to have the instrumental with out Annie's vocal as reference. So those bits of hers kind of detracted from the concept of a true insrumental. You did a great job! I love Annie Crummer. Awesome voice and all. But nice to have this as an alternative. |

whirled peas<br><font size=1>aka Deacon Fan</font> wrote: Aww shucks :) Here's a bonus track: An altered version of the 2003 Annie Crummer version instrumental of Another One Bites The Dust. I love the instrumental version, it features some of the original 1980 elements, but with added effects and stuff. The original instrumental (from a New Zealand CD single) still had some "nah nah" backing vocals in two places so I've removed those with some clever editing :-P link (6.44 MB)Great job. Maybe someone could add the original Freddie vocals and voila: a new hit single is born ;-) |
| Penis - Vagina 17.09.2004 12:28 |
That's an excellent idea Wybren! We could call it a "Queen + Freddie Mercury" track :-P Actually I did that back in July: But since the Annie Crummer version is a little faster and I suck at synchronizing, it's not exactly perfect. I slowed down the instrumental rather than speeding up Freddie, which makes some of the guitar and stuff sound quite out of tune in places. I told everyone I'd have another try at it sometime, but so far I've managed to avoid it :-P |

Maybe you can remix the new instrumental track with the original version (new intro, instrumental inferno?) That would be nice! |
| Ogre 17.09.2004 16:33 |
Damn!! Missed the last two. But thanks for sharing anyway.. |
| Penis - Vagina 17.09.2004 16:38 |
The vocals came from an mp3 of one of the 5.1 mixes.. either GVH 1 or DVD-A (I don't have the ability to extract or record DTS myself). I think there's still drums and other stuff with the vocal, so it's not a true isolated vocal. My best talents are editing. I have trouble getting things to sync properly. Even after trying to adjust the speed, I had to paste Freddie in just a little at a time. It's tedious and frustrating. |
| Penis - Vagina 17.09.2004 16:47 |
Here's "You Don't Fool Me" for you Ogre.. let me know when you've got it and I'll replace it with the final track. No problem :) |
| Ogre 17.09.2004 18:34 |
I've got that one now thanks Jeffrey :-) |
| Penis - Vagina 17.09.2004 19:02 |
There you go :) |
| Ogre 17.09.2004 19:17 |
Got em now Ta very much ;-) |
| Llisos 18.09.2004 17:27 |
Hola! Dear Cold Earth, I couldn't download "You take my breath" neither "Get down make love". Can I have a second chance for these songs? Thanks in advance! |
| Penis - Vagina 18.09.2004 18:20 |
Yes :) |
| Nameless 18.09.2004 19:47 |
Hello Cold Earth, Thank you for sharing with us these wonderful instrumentals. I was wondering: I've only discovered this thread when you've uploaded most of disc 1, so do you think it is possible if you can send me the rest by mail, if you don't mind? We can work out how we can go about doing this, if it's not too much of a hassle. Thank you. |
| Penis - Vagina 18.09.2004 22:41 |
I'd rather just put them here again. I can do at least 3 at a time and it shouldn't take too long.. I can switch to 3 new ones everytime you post that you've gotten the previous ones. So if I understand right, you need the most of the first disc? Obviously you've got the two from the previous message, so here's the first two... And I'll add the next one you need (# 4 I assume) when you post again... And Llisos, let me know when you've got the ones you needed :) PS- It may have to wait til morning though. I'm fading fast :-P |
| Nameless 18.09.2004 23:03 |
Thank you. Yes, that's right, the earliest track I have from the first disc is Made In Heaven, of course excluding You Take My Breath Away and Get Down, Make Love. Thank you for taking your time out for me. |
| Penis - Vagina 18.09.2004 23:12 |
Okay, well Made In Heaven is on the 2nd disc. I'm sorry if there's confusion about that since the file names are numbered the same for both discs.. if you save them to one folder, they'll get mixed up. Look for the earlier message with the whole list.. So you should have the first 5 now.. |
| Nameless 19.09.2004 00:24 |
Oh, pardon, I mean A Kind of Magic instead of Made In Heaven. |
| Llisos 19.09.2004 08:52 |
Thank you! I've downloaded "You take my breath away" (superb!). Now, I'm downloading "Get Down Make Love". I don't take unfair of you, but can you share the new tracks of Greatest Karaoke Hits? I'm talking about: I was born to love you These are the days of our lives A winter tale Thanks!! |
| Llisos 19.09.2004 09:22 |
Got the two tracks now. Thanks again!! |
| Adam Baboolal 19.09.2004 10:28 |
Hey dude, could you pass the AOBTD tracks to me. Cause I'll fix that vocal for you. Just list what tracks you used and pass the ones I don't have to me. I'll completely overhall the vocal cause I've learned a vocal trick lately. Let's perfect! Peace, Adam. |
| Penis - Vagina 19.09.2004 11:35 |
Okay, Nameless here are two more and after this you should just need Dragon Attack and Hammer To Fall. So I'll save those for now and use the third space for: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX for you Llisos and I'll post the others as soon as I can. |
| Penis - Vagina 19.09.2004 14:50 |
Adam, I'm pretty sure I used the left rear and it must be from the DVD-A because the original file names all started with '03'. If you don't have the ability to get that, I can post it at some point when one of these guys lets me know they've downloaded their requests... |
| Nameless 19.09.2004 15:17 |
Thanks a lot, I got those 2 tracks. |
| Penis - Vagina 19.09.2004 16:22 |
|
| Llisos 19.09.2004 17:03 |
I've got "Days of our lives"... a BIG thank you. I don't "need" all these songs right now... If you have more suggestions or petitions (you're having a succesful post!) or need your web space for any other projects, I'll wait. |
| Penis - Vagina 19.09.2004 17:20 |
No, it's cool. Between 3 webspaces I can juggle and make room for everyone :) So here's XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I love this one! I play it at least once a day. So much energy. |
| Nameless 19.09.2004 19:29 |
Thanks a lot for putting these tracks up again for me, I really appreciate it. |
| Penis - Vagina 19.09.2004 19:42 |
Oh dear, looks like the replies are starting to go out of order. Anyway, here's another karaoke: |
| Adam Baboolal 19.09.2004 22:34 |
Right, gotcha. I'll wait my turn. Thanks, Adam. |
| Penis - Vagina 19.09.2004 22:49 |
So I take it that you do need that... |
| Shooter 20.09.2004 06:42 |
Hello, I'm new on forum. Where can I download those tracks from The Eye? I cant see a link or something... |
| Penis - Vagina 20.09.2004 07:15 |
Welcome to the forum, Shooter. Unfortunately this sharing project was started two weeks ago on September 6 and is now finished. In the past few days I've only been doing some individual reposts and a few off-topic things. I don't have enough webspace to share everything at once, so I rotate things, which is why you can't find all of the links. I'm very sorry but if I were to start over again, it might never end and I simply can't make this a permanent project. |
| Adam Baboolal 20.09.2004 07:57 |
Good stuff. So what was used for your remix? Is it just a mix of Queen track and that 80's track? I've got that rear_left channel thing now. Peace, Adam. |
| Penis - Vagina 20.09.2004 08:25 |
Actually I'm not sure. I thought it must be one of the rears because I don't remember it having bass, but the vocal sounds too echoey and I remember having to grab a couple bits from another track which were missing. Here's another one... That would be my 2nd guess as to which one I used, since it doesn't have the guitar over the 2nd verse. It was so long ago and I don't really keep records of what I do (I should). For the backing track, use the version I posted the other day.. Another_One_Bites_The_Dust-(2003_instrumental_edit).mp3 (Hopefully you saved that) Then adjust the speed if necessary... whatever works. Obviously I'm clueless :) I'm so clueless that I didn't even save a raw wave or CD version of that instrumental edit, so I'll have to redo it sometime if I need it. |
| Adam Baboolal 20.09.2004 10:08 |
Cool. Got that too. Btw, I recently found that keeping records is the best thing you can ever do. I had to recreate MLHBS from my old takes. Luckily, there were old project files that exposed the original takes I used. Otherwise, I would have had to sit down and listen to everything to try and match things up! Anyway, are you saying that you're not sure about still having that synthy part stuff? Maybe you could put up a list of things used. I'm actually pretty sure I could get the vocal from the original stereo mix. But these are much appreciated. Peace, Adam. |
| Penis - Vagina 20.09.2004 10:46 |
Synthy part stuff? There shouldn't be anything that isn't already in the Crummer instrumental or one of these DTS tracks. The instrumental is as it comes, except at :23 and 2:38 where I replaced some 'nah nah' backing vocals with stuff from elsewhere in the song. |
| Adam Baboolal 20.09.2004 11:19 |
I got the full mix you did. But are you telling me that you're not posting the backing track without the vocal? I thought I'd just have to replace the vocal and be done. I guess you just tell me what makes up the mix and I'll try and match things, I guess. Peace, Adam. |
| Penis - Vagina 20.09.2004 11:43 |
The backing track was posted a couple days ago.. which I mentioned and even gave the filename, so you should have that.. but here it is again. It's completely instrumental so all you need is your vocal of choice.. I've posted two and you said you could get it from the original stereo mix as well. What more is there? I'm confused. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX It's not exactly identical to the version I used at first because I still had the 'nah nah' backing vocals when I did it, so this should be even better. |
| Llisos 20.09.2004 12:56 |
Hola! Thank you for "Born to love you" (G R E A T !) I'm downloading, after a hard day of work at college, "Winter Tale"... I don't know more english words for thank you your kindness.... so... Gracias! |
| Penis - Vagina 20.09.2004 14:04 |
No problem :) "Heaven For Everyone" was also one of the new ones, but it's the single version and still has backing vocals, so 'The Eye' version is better I think, but I'll post it anyway just to complete the foursome: XXXXXXXXX |
| Llisos 20.09.2004 15:58 |
Hola! I found this song (and others and a lot of info from the superb album "Made in heaven") right here: link Someone posted this web some time ago, somewhere on this board. This site has a good mp'3 section with interesting alternate versions of MIH songs. The original take of "Let me live" has an extra gospel touch that I found very interesting, although the quality sound could be better... Thanks! |
| Penis - Vagina 20.09.2004 16:12 |
That's a nice site! I haven't seen it before so thanks for the link :) |
| Llisos 20.09.2004 16:51 |
I thought you posted it here the last week or even before. The gallery photo has a good pic of Roger playing his drums very excited. The "Made in Heaven" album has very nice moments... My grandchildren will see how it was developed on the Queen box set... 2180 aC aprox. ;) |
| kevbayer 13.10.2004 19:52 |
yeah, I just joined the board. I'd love to get some tracks from The Eye (not all, just a few). Anyone know where I can get them? Are they available from the Hub? Can someone email them to me? or put them up with WinMX? or Torrent them? |
| jerome.wuzz 14.10.2004 03:50 |
The first half of the eye trax are available for download at link. I'll let them till Monday, so that people can get them. On Monday, I'll upload the second half. Thanx again to Jeffrey for having edited them and first shared them ! |
| kevbayer 14.10.2004 10:47 |
Sweet! Thanks. I've been looking for these for awhile now. I appreciate it. |
| Penis - Vagina 14.10.2004 11:22 |
Thanks for putting those up again Jerome :) I wish more people would take my stuff and pass it around.. like on this 'hub' I keep hearing about :-P I can't do it all the time. It makes my mind unstable. |
| jerome.wuzz 14.10.2004 11:52 |
Hello. The second half of the Eye tracks is available from link. I'll let them here till Friday. Happy download. J. |
| cwilk 18.10.2004 08:59 |
Thanks very much for all these downloads. Much appreciated. |
