Technically all instrumentals are remixes of sorts, but I've noted some 'remix' when they sound especially different. Disc One - The Arena Domain: 01 - Data track 02 - Made In Heaven (just the intro looped several times) 1:06 03 - I Want It All (album version which turns instrumental following first verse) 4:41 04 - Dragon Attack (instrumental remix with an extra closing loop at the end) 4:20 05 - Fight From The Inside (instrumental remix) 3:00 06 - Hang On In There (just the intro looped) :55 07 - In The Lap Of The Gods.. Revisited (album version excerpt) :30 08 - Modern Times Rock 'N' Roll (instrumental with no vocals at all, not even the ending) 1:41 09 - More Of That Jazz (instrumental re-edit with no vocals, no montage, different intro, fade out) 4:27 10 - We Will Rock You (live version instrumental segment looped with game voiceover) :56 11 - Liar (regular version fading out before vocal starts) 1:24 12 - The Night Comes Down (excerpt from the intro) :45 13 - Liar (exactly the same as track 11 - regular version fading out before vocal starts) 1:24 14 - Chinese Torture (regular version from Miracle CD) 1:42 15 - I Want It All (complete instrumental but with a bit of the intro missing, then part of the intro repeated with some extra keyboard and guitar sound and this track is in MONO, not stereo) 4:54 Disc Two - The Works Domain 01 - Data Track 02 - Mustapha (just the vocal intro before 'hey') :23 03 - Mother Love (instrumental but fades out at 4:14 eliminating most of the montage) 4:14 04 - You Take My Breath Away (instrumental excerpt, piano only - about :46 to 3:56 in the original) 3:12 05 - One Vision (alternate and longer version of intro, just distored vocal stuff) :30 06 - Sweet Lady (album version ending on a reverb before first chorus) 1:01 07 - Was It All Worth It (instrumental version excerpt starting with guitar and ending on echo before 2nd verse) 1:55 08 - Get Down, Make Love (instrumental remix) 3:46 09 - Heaven For Everyone (complete instrumental, no vocals at all) 5:34 10 - Hammer To Fall (instrumental remix, almost complete, just misses a bit of guitar sound at start and gunshot at end) 4:20 11 - Intro From 'A Day At The Races' (excerpt, ends where stairstep portion would start) :38 12 - One Vision (instrumental remix excerpt) 2:24 13 - It's Late (excerpt from regular version, just first verse) 1:07 14 - Procession (regular version, fades) 1:12 15 - Made In Heaven (complete instrumental) 5:24 Disc Three - Theatre Domain 01 - Data Track 02 - It's A Beautiful Day (instrumental excerpt of album version 2) 1:35 03 - Don't Lose Your Head (instrumental remix excerpt) 1:56 04 - Princes of The Universe (instrumental excerpt) 1:06 05 - A Kind Of Magic (complete instrumental) 4:23 06 - Gimme The Prize (vocal version remix) 4:01 07 - Bring Back That Leroy Brown (regular version excerpt ) :24 08 - "Ha Ha Ha Ha, It's Magic" (just Freddie's vocal) :04 09 - You Don't Fool Me (complete and slightly extended instrumental) (features a nasty glitch during the solo at 3:20) 5:55 10 - Let Me Entertain You (bit of the intro looped a few times) :47 11 - Khashoggi's Ship (instrumental, ends before "bop bop" scat bit) 1:34 12 - Forever (regular instrumental bonus track version) 3:19 13 - Don't Try So Hard (regular version excerpt, ends before 2nd verse) 1:32 14 - Was It All Worth it (bit of the intro only) :37 Disc Four - Innuendo Domain 01 - Data Track 02 - Brighton Rock (excerpt of intro) :10 03 - I'm Going Slightly Mad (instrumental excerpt, ends just before guitar solo) 2:38 04 - Bijou (edit, only instrumental guitar parts, bit of intro is cut off) 1:22 05 - Khashoggi's Ship (exactly the same as disc three, instrumental, ends before "bop bop" scat bit) 1:34 06 - The Show Must Go On (instrumental, same mix as karaoke but a bit longer at the end) 4:23 07 - The Hitman (instrumental excerpt ends after 2nd "for your love&quo |

Thanks!!! Your answer was very quick! I like the instrumental thing and I'm looking for all this stuff. Your answer is a helping hand... I thought that the instrumental songs of The Eye were just a few... there's a lot of music on there! I try to get this pc game. I started to download the karoke cd's a few days ago (a very low speed connection here). I'm waiting for more info. Thanks!!!!! |
Penis - Vagina 05.09.2004 19:23 |
No problem :) I wanted to do this for myself to have a reference anyway.. some sites have the info, but not 100% accurate. |

I'd say there's about 20 unique versions which make it worth getting. It's a shame that it has some glitches (apparently all copies have them) and the volume is quite low since they are meant to be background music while you're playing. And I haven't been able to get the game to work on XP. I made a two disc collection of the instrumentals, glitches corrected, "I Want It All" re-edited using a bit of the karaoke mix to replace the first verse on one version, "The Hitman" and "Death On Two legs" two versions each edited together and volume adjusted, and songs put in chronological order. Here's an image of the tracks lists: link They're only 40 something minutes each, but too much for one disc and not enough unique stuff to fill them :) |

I've never seen this game, only read about it. Is it only available in Europe? Is there anywhere else I might be able to find these songs? |
jerome.wuzz 06.09.2004 04:32 |
I couldn't find this PC game, so I'd be very interested in your compilation CD, whirled peas ! |
Penis - Vagina 06.09.2004 06:50 |
Well I didn't really find it either. It's out of print. Sometimes they show up on Ebay but I never find one that is complete and says it's in good condition for a reasonable price. Someone sent me complete copies of the discs, that's how I got them. Lester asked me to post instrumentals again recently and now with this... I'll post the tracks from my 2 disc collection one a day or something, but I'd rather not get into trying to mail copies to people and stuff. Somehow it's always an ordeal for me for various reasons :-P Check 'Sharing The Music' today for the first one. I use variable bit rate 192 minimum so the quality is usually quite good. |
Mr. Scully 06.09.2004 07:02 |
I sold my copy of the game on ebay a year ago for about $30. Mostly it sells even more expensive. Don't buy it - the game itself is crap and won't work under Windows XP anyway. Some of the remixes are good though. |
Bohardy 06.09.2004 14:43 |
Nice analysis Jeff. You make no mention of the fact that the You Take My Breath Away instrumental isn't quite complete though... I was just listening to all the tracks the other day for the first time in a while, and was surprised by just how many of these mixes contain EXTRA/NEW music. The one that stands out in my mind right now is Headlong, which is just saturated in 'new' Brian guitar parts that are nowhere to be found on the original mix, but I know there were more. |
Penis - Vagina 06.09.2004 15:57 |
My memory was that it's still the complete piano part, but I just compared and the piano in the original goes on about 43 more seconds. Well, nobody's perfect :-P I suppose Headlong could have some 'new' guitar added, but it's probably more likely that it was either buried in, or unused in the original. |

I bought it when it was new - years ago (5 or 6 I think.) I agree with Scully - game itself isn’t anything special. The graphics was fine (if you consider it’s so old), but if I remember correctly, fightning and moving in this game was really pain. You can got used to it, but... It was action adventure - adventure part was good on the whole, but that action... sometimes it was really horrible to go through (especially part 1 - The Arena Domain). I did it then, but only because it’s somehow connected to Queen (Queen music used in the game was perfect for a fan :-)). It really won’t go on XP as it was for MSDOS or Win95 and it has it’s own graphics and sound drivers. And XP stop immediately this kind of games to prevent system crash. I have on one comp Win98, but I really don’t plan to play it again. So, just now the box with the game lies on the shelf. It’s worth for that 5 CD (it could be played on standard audio equipment) with Queen music. Not for the game itself. |

Once again: thanks Jeff! Nice work! |
Adam Baboolal 06.09.2004 20:14 |
You can always try this - link It might work this game. Unfortunately I somehow lost my first disc of The eYe. Real shame. So, I can't check it. Peace, Adam. |

I also bought this game just for Queen references when it was new :) It is simply amazing how the included booklet lists the tracks in an almost completely wrong order... |
Quienk 07.09.2004 09:15 |
I bought this game from a classmate for 7,50 Guilders. Thats about 3,40 Euros. It was complete in the box, and booklets were all included. Never played it much though. Anyway, I have made a 'complete' mix of Mother Love which includes the complete 'medley' at the end. It is available on my site link |

Adam, I have DOS BOX and I tried it. And after some picking with it I’ve been able to start it (with choking sound, unfortunately) and it loaded title screen. After I chose ’New game’, it loaded that screen with Dubroc in front and guardian (or who is it?) with hand torch moving and ... nothing. It stopped responding and I was forced to end it in XP. I hadn’t had got so much time to tried it once more so - maybe sometime in the future. It’s really not experiment for computer newbies (ha, maybe it’s better to say ’standard windows users’ :-) after all. |
