Is it really true? He actually built that guitar form scratch w/ his dad? All these years, since 1982, I thought he bought it from the Burns Co. back in 1968 or so. WOW!! Who would have thought he'd have the ability to design and actually build a guitar? It's almost as wild as learning Freddie dabbled in coke "here and there" I'm shocked!!
No I'm not serious, I just wanted to see the reaction I'd get. It was inspired by the Did Freddie wrote Bo Rhap about having AIDS? post. I referred to the fact that I go back to 1982 as a fan so if I dont know this info by now I would be the worse fan out there! All meant in good fun.
What's with the obsessing over who's a Newbie/Rocker/Bohemian/Deity? You know, Bohemians can easily ask stupid questions. And just because people are new to the board doesn't mean they're new to Queen. Someone could've been a Queen fan for 20 years and only just joined the board. These labels just represent post count; not your knowledge. And plus, weren't you the Bohemian who posted 30 replies to the same topic, all saying the same thing?
Ofcourse not!
The real story dates back to July 1965. All the people from the town gathered on the townsquare. Stories went that there was a guitar trapped in a rock. All the kids and even the grown ups tried to pull the guitar out of the rock, but no one was able to do it. Until Mr Harold May told his son there was a guitar stuck in a rock on the town square. Earlier that week Brian cried his eyes out because he couldn't affort a Stratocaster or a Les Paul, Brian's father felt for him.
Brian went to the townsquare and walked towards the rock. He jumped on it, and grabbed the neck of the guitar with his both hands. He pulled and it came lose from the stone.
That day Brian got his guitar and Rock 'n Roll was born.

A Bohemian has turned into a newbie.
If that is smashing news to you I got some more facts:
- (This might be a schock) Freddie is dead.
- Roger played the drums and did vocals sometimes.
- John Deacon is a man
- And Freddie Merucry and Brian May never had a love-realion ship
HAHAHAHAHAAAAAA! Yah, that and Freddie being gay, if you want to cover the absolute basics. Ha.

Oh, yeah ... and then he conquered the world. But if the legend goes as correctly put, then the Red Special goes back to the guard of the Lady of the Lake when Brian dies, forever to be in her care. Hmm. That ought to look grand on tape.
OK... I try to be really nice to newbies and try not to bash on anyone for stupid questions, but COME ON! Even my brother knew that his guitar was built with his dad - and he HATES Queen! This is almost as bad as the time someone asked for a bootleg of DO2L from Live Killers! Wow... wow is all I can say.

Read the rest of the thread; MercuryArts said the question was a joke, just to see what the reaction would be.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Just because my post number is in the low double digits doesn't mean I just "discovered" Queen. I've been listening to them longer than over half of you have been born. I just found this place and thought it would be cool to trade thoughts, ideas, stories, info with other fans. Didn't know I'd get put down for asking questions.

Actually, I don't know what the song is about... do tell. Or is it just a song that speaks for itself, and has no hidden meaning? Who knows, it's one of Brian's, so....
