Which one of those would you choose as your favorite? I know both are great, but I would pick TMOTBQ, because I can find myself better there. :) |
Farlander 05.09.2004 04:43 |
March of the Black Queen. Beats me why. I just like it better I guess. |

Brian_Mays_Wig 05.09.2004 05:11 |
just buy Queen II. Anyway. MOTBQ for me too. |
Brianmay1975 05.09.2004 05:20 |
I pick Bohemian Rhapsody, it's a real masterpiece... I wonder why is it so cool on this board to say that BoRhap isn't the best Queen song, but when it comes to voting for the best song, it's always BoRhap on first place?! |
Wouter 05.09.2004 05:32 |
That's mainly in stats that are not representative for Queen-fans. Non-Queens fans don't know other great songs, Queen fans often choose BoRhap in those contests because they want a Queen-song to top the charts (and very often it does). A poll among Queen-fans can come to entirely different results. BoRhap still is a great song, though (just heard it too often). |
Simmer 05.09.2004 06:58 |
Even though BR is overplayed it's still the better song I'd say. |
Sebastian 05.09.2004 07:04 |
I vote for Bo Rhap because it's catchier, and imo better structured. March sounds so ... random sometimes. |
Flo Joe 05.09.2004 07:45 |
TMOTBQ!!!!! |

March Of The Black Queen is my No.1 |
Libor2 05.09.2004 09:45 |
TMOTBQ - without hesitation for me. |
Giacco 73 05.09.2004 10:20 |
For me,they are all upgrading and improving of the same type of song.Starting from the virginal"My Fairy King" of Queen I,passing truogh the intricated "March of the Black Queen" of Queen II,then leading to the masterpiece of all time,A night at the Opera containing "The song",Bo Rap. |
Sonia Doris 05.09.2004 10:20 |
I think TMOTBQ is more complex, and it brings a lot of interesting ideas. I can't get bored listening to it over and over again. |
Lord Blackadder 05.09.2004 10:26 |
Bohemian Rhapsody. Although I do love TMOTBQ. Especially the part that was performed in the Live medly's in the early days and the little reprise bit were you think it's over, then it comes back. |
MercuryArts 05.09.2004 12:22 |
I love Bo Rhap, But MOTBQ is my favorite. So much more going on in the song. I'd love to see a dvd of Brian disecting Black Queen section by section like on the GVH1 dvd. |
Lester Burnham 05.09.2004 12:31 |
March of the Black Queen for me, any day. I also think Queen II is a far better album than A Night at the Opera. That's right, I said it. Whatcha gonna do about it? |
Gunpowder Gelatine 05.09.2004 13:03 |
March Of The Black Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody is great; I've just heard it way too many times. |
Saint Jiub 05.09.2004 13:22 |
MotBQ |

March of the Black Queen |
lottie88 05.09.2004 14:34 |
Both are great, but I think Bo Rhap is way better. Although I don't think there would even be a Bo Rahp if there wasn't MOTBQ. |
brENsKi 05.09.2004 17:17 |
i would agree that queen II is a better album, but MOTBQ is not a better track on it's own. however if you take the component parts of queen II that "inpired" bo-rhap - ie ogre/fairy feller/nevermore/MOTBQ then just maybe you have a better "track" than bo-rhap |
Kuku 05.09.2004 21:24 |
I would have answer March of the Black Queen a month ago... |
KillerQueen840 05.09.2004 21:41 |
March of the Black Queen! |

Lester Burnham said: March of the Black Queen for me, any day. I also think Queen II is a far better album than A Night at the Opera. I agree totally. My choice would have been TMOTBQ. BoRhap is a great song but I'm sick to death of it. I've heard it way too many times in my life. TMOTBQ is like a hidden gem to me. A great song that the radio-listening public will never know about. |

Non-fans would vote for it, so we do to ensure it gets the top spot Just saw Wooter's post which said exactly the same!! |

It's hard to find the better one... but The March of the Black Queen is really powerful, one of my favourite songs. *kiss* |

Wouter wrote: A poll among Queen-fans can come to entirely different results.Yeah? Really?! Since it seems you're kinda new on this forum, you may not know that last week there was a poll on Queenzone about the best Queen song ever. All the people in here are Queen fans, I suppose, but still BoRhap topped the first place. Or are there no Queen fans in here? |
Wouter 06.09.2004 11:07 |
damn, did your favourite ant die or something? I said it "can" come to entirely different results, I didn't say it "would" or it "must" come to entirely different results. Besides, if a radiostation holds a poll, BoRhap will probably top it, and The March will be nowhere in sight, while on a Queen-fansite, a lot of people who would've voted for the latter in a direct contest, would vote for the first one, just to make a Queen-song top the charts. I probably can't explain it any better, but if you still don't understand, I might try a Powerpoint-presentation, if you want. on-topic: March of the Black Queen |

It’s exactly that and it involves not only Queen fans. Have a fine day. |
jericho05 06.09.2004 14:03 |
March Of The Black Queen-- no question in my opinion. As for the poll that was conducted a few weeks ago... the list consisted mostly of hits and not Queen II gems or others. |
SergeantPepperDG 06.09.2004 15:24 |
I really can't decide. All I can say is that I can't wait till I get my drivers license, so I can pull a "Waynes World." Although none of my friends would do that with me. :'( |
Gunpowder Gelatine 06.09.2004 15:34 |
You'd be surprised at what you can coerce your friends into doing. I got mine to walk down the street at 10 PM and sing Bohemian Rhapsody at the top of our lungs. I'm sure the neighbors hated us, but that's probably because we sounded horrible. Not to mention that half didn't know the words. ;-) |
SergeantPepperDG 06.09.2004 15:36 |
I did convince one of my friends to go on a bike ride with me and sing "Bicycle Race." We weren't naked though. |
twowaymirrormountain 06.09.2004 22:06 |
20 years ago I would have said BoRhap, now I might say MOTBQ. They're both in my top ten, though. |
MexQueenFM 07.09.2004 00:21 |
march of the black queen cause she tatooes her pies |
Fenderek 07.09.2004 09:02 |
BLACK QUEEN out of those two... But none of them is even amongst my favourites... |
BrianRules 07.09.2004 09:52 |
It's TMOTBQ for me. Queen II is my favorite album, and TMOTBQ is one of my favorites off that album. Also, someone had mentioned that it wouldn't stand on it's own, and I disagree. It's a very strong song, with lots of different moods all rolled into one. What an ingenious song!! |
