SergeantPepperDG 29.08.2004 11:57 |
I'm listening to it right now... |
Whisperer 29.08.2004 15:00 |
Certainly not |
Music Man 29.08.2004 15:16 |
Yeah, I don't really like that one. I sometimes skip over it because I don't have the patience to wait for the next! I mean, I like it, but I wouldn't consider it THE best. |
Sonja 29.08.2004 15:23 |
Not the best one but a very good one. and unfortunately a very short one, too. and that's the bad thing about it....it is too good to be that short. |
Gunpowder Gelatine 29.08.2004 15:36 |
I love that song. It's the same with Lily Of The Valley and Dear Friends; they should be longer, because they're so good. |
Abby Mouser 29.08.2004 18:35 |
yeah i was instantly drawn to that song when i first became a fan, i still really like it, freddie's voice is so pretty. |
Libor2 29.08.2004 18:50 |
Nice song (but I like Lilly Of The Valley more), but not the best track ever. Or, better to say, not for me. |
Jjeroen 30.08.2004 05:13 |
Love this song to death... |
Lord Blackadder 30.08.2004 09:27 |

Nevermore isn't bad..but it's certainly not one that I would consider the best. |
muttley15 30.08.2004 10:51 |

Nikos 30.08.2004 12:58 |
It's a very Good song but I don't think it's THE best album track in the world ever. But I love It |
Ozz 30.08.2004 13:23 |
sometines for me IS THE BEST TRACK EVER.... sometimes.... I mean the lyrics , melody and all that But i prefer the BBC version of it... is really stronger |
Zander05 30.08.2004 20:04 |
I think it's great. I wouldn't call it the best song I've ever heard - but it's up there. Really fun to sing, I might add. Queen II is an absolute masterpiece and Freddie wrote some of what could be argued his best. I'm more of a 'Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke' if you want my favourite song from the album. |
Music Man 30.08.2004 21:01 |
I liked that album so much, it's really hard to pick one (as is the case with most Queen albums, actually). However, if I had to pick my favorite, it would probably be "White Queen (As It Began)". |
Sonia Doris 31.08.2004 05:55 |
I think it has charm because it's so short and poignant. If it was longer, maybe it would have become boring or something like that. |
Albyboy 31.08.2004 06:02 |
Soniutza wrote: I think it has charm because it's so short and poignant. If it was longer, maybe it would have become boring or something like that.Totally agree. Brian once said that a good song shouldn't be longer than 3:10 minutes... So a wonderful one might be even shorter!!!! :) Albyboy |
cliveh 31.08.2004 13:48 |
Nevermore is one of my fav's his voice in that is so amazing such quality and range but i think it is a hard thing to really say what is the best album track, I mean there is Bo Rap witch i think hands down is still the best song ever, but also, love of my life, again such a good recording, and doing alright oooooo and of corse lilly of the valley such wonderful vocals I dont think any one can compare. |

Jimmy Dean 31.08.2004 23:46 |
I would say their best "album" track would have to be Dragon Attack. Here in Montreal, we'll actually hear it on our local rock radio station CHOM 97.7FM. For a long lost track, keeping radio in terms of scope (not being a single and all) it gets very good radio play. |

Sir GH wrote: THE best album track *in the world ever* You know folks, there are other bands than Queen who put out good non-singles.Yes, but this forum, for some reason, considers queen as the only band worth mentioning... in other words The Beatles - I Want You (She's So Heavy) among countless others Led Zeppelin - too many to list since they only had like 4 official singles, example of a non-single: Stairway To Heaven Pink Floyd - Echoes Bob Dylan - Desolation Row !!! would never make the cut in the hearts of any true queen fan. Am I right? |
Queenrocks4579 01.09.2004 01:16 |
I really love that song it's absolutly amazing. I mean i fell in love with it the first time i heard it. |

Well, this is a Queen forum and this is the Queen specific area, so are we surprised we're focusing on Queen? |

Nevermore has been one of my favourite Queen Tracks for a very long time, I think if pushed I would definately give Queen II the mantle of the best Queen album. I agree with Dragon Attack being an outstanding Album track - that baby grooves - is head and shoulders above its A side ABTD. However I also love 'Rock it' from the Game. As far as the other banter is concerned the only thing that sticks out that I should mention is; what is all this rubbish about football fight being the best track from the flash soundtrack?? The Hero is a monumental track - very reminiscent of I can't live with you (the Queen Rocks '97 mix i hasten to add!) You don't fool me is sheer class - apparently this stretches back to Hot Space (correct me if I'm wrong?) The best Miracle(ish) non album track is Hijack my heart! The best Sheer Heart attack is Tenement Funster, The best ANATO is Prophets Song - better than Bo Rhap! Queen I is prob Doin' Alright but its a close call. A Day At The Races - I know its on the EP but 'White Man' As for the others?, well I've had an absolutley shocking evening and I don't think I can decide? Maybe Bijou from Innuendo (beautiful lyrics), or Ride the Wild Wind. Criticism very welcome!!! |
