From the moment you woke up, your day totally sucked. You were late for work/school and had to put up with a bunch of BS from really annoying people who think they're your friend, and you find out you have to stay late. Then when you FINALLY get home, you remember you have to be somewhere you'd rather not be. The day has been a royal pain in your ass. But then, the dark clouds part and some Queen song comes on and you feel so much better. Which song makes you forget all the bad in your life? My song is probably going to have to be Don't Stop Me Now. |

Don't try Suicide -(seriously) the goofiness gets me ... |

When Im sad, All Dead All Dead but when I want cheering up, Crazy Little Thing Called Love. |
Gunpowder Gelatine 28.08.2004 19:35 |
Doin' Alright and Don't Try So Hard, because they're calming. And The Invisible Man, because it's just amusing. :-) |
mariner10 28.08.2004 20:26 |
I agree - Don't Stop Me Now. I listen to it before heading out to hear a live band in a club. |

Brimon wrote: When Im sad, All Dead All Dead but when I want cheering up, Crazy Little Thing Called Love.So these are different situations? BTW - I can't think of a better cheer-up song than 'Breakthru' myself :) |
Wiley 28.08.2004 22:29 |
"You're my best friend" always puts a smile on my face, if that's what you mean by "cheer up". It's a lovely piece. "Breakthru" has a great beat and I just love the extended version!. And "Don't stop me now" has to be my favourite Car tune. Really exciting. |
Sonja 28.08.2004 22:38 |
Man On The Prowl is quite amusing I think. Always gets me into a good mood again. And Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon and Funny How Love Is. When I am upset or angry or just fed up with everything it really helps to listen to Hammer To Fall VERY loud! When I am sad I like Doing Alright and Heaven For Everyone. |

Funny how love is... don't know why but it always makes me think of long hot summer days when I was a kid. The 12" version of Just keep passing the open windows also cheers me up. |

If I'm pissed off: Death On Two Legs That does tend to make me a little happier. But just to make me happy when I'm not pissed off: The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Seaside Rendezvous, etc... |
KillerQueen840 29.08.2004 18:02 |
When I'm outraged, "The Hitman or Death on Two Legs." When I need something cheery,"Don't Stop me Now," or "Headlong," or "Who Needs You." When I'm being totally hyper and have a burst of energy and I need to go crazy, "Hammer to Fall," "One Vision," "Headlong (it fits in this category too), "Don't Stop me Now (also fits in this category)," and ofcourse, "Bohemian Rhapsody." |

Usually I when I am pissed off I listen to any queen song because that calms me down. But I usually try to listen to happy songs like Good Old-Fashioned lover boy, You and I, Don't stop me now, killer queen, etc. |

It seems "Don't Stop Me Now" is the most popular for cheering up!!:)) I also like it the most when I'm sad, or simply tired or nervous, it helps you get better 10000%!! . And when I'm kind of angry, I put on Hammer To Fall very very loud!! Great feeling, but it never lasts too long cause some of my neighbours always come to my door complaining about the noise so I have to make it quiet:)) |

Sonia Doris 30.08.2004 15:40 |
The one and only: DON'T STOP ME NOW It makes me jump on the walls. But, any Queen song would make me cheer up. |

DON'T STOP ME NOW.... that song is a pure adrenaline-booster !!! depressed? feelin'down? havin'the blues? a dosis of this song will make you strong and positive.....in control and on top of the world again !!! Funny thing happened the other day in Ede (Holland)... the worlds best Queen-coverband MayQueen performed there, and the atmosphere completely changed when they threw the energy of this song in the crowd...it was like a spark of fire in a bucket of gunpowder!!! That song really made the difference between listening people and an enthousiastic concert-joining crowd that really re-lived the Queenshows like they were in the old days..... crazy to think that the last show is already 18!! years ago....seems like yesterday to me.... wich makes me think and wonder again.... wish i knew the name of the status quo fan who nearly died in my arms bleeding to death after he got stabbed by some hells angels in Knebworth...i couldn't get him to the medics in time...it was too crowded and we were too far away from the first-aid stands.... that shouldn't have happened....does anyone know who he was? it's been buggin'me ever since...and Jim Jenkins also doesn't know...or Greg... Don't stop me now...that's THE ultimate Queen-song for me... |
Zander05 30.08.2004 16:47 |
Wow... didn't Greg mention that in his book? I think that really made this thread really depressing. :-( Dammit *goes to listen to Don't Stop Me Now* |

I read about that on queenconcerts.com, fan stories section. Someone wrote about Knebworth and mentioned that someone died there.. But you say NEARLY, so did that guy survived?? Wish he did... Was that your story there?? |
