I discovered Queen on Tv, a channel called TMF played the video of Bohemian Rhapsody. The persons who introduced me to Queen were my parents, they had a cd of Queen wich I "borrowed" but never gave it back hahaha. And also the first song I heard was Bohemian Rhapsody. |

I think the very first song I heard was Killer Queen. I thought it was such a cool sound and I really liked it, but it was when NATO came out and I heard BoRhap for the first time that I was totally hooked. I had to find out everything about that new band and get their three previous albums. I learned all the words to all the songs and just got sucked into the Queen machine! So I guess Queen got me into Queen around 1974. |

The first song I've ever heard by Queen was Good old-fashioned lover boy... An Italian radio put it on and I remember I got stunned... It was an old friend of mine who borrowed me some records... Thank you Simo, you don't know you changed my life forever... ... Too much time ago... **SIGH** Albyboy |

By hearing the news of Freddie's death in 1991 and by questioning my mum afterwards and stealing her Queen tapes. 2. My mum. 3. I have no idea, I think Champions because it was played at football games and other sport event all the time. Only later I realised it was Queen. I remember the first Queen video I ever saw though. It was Radio Gaga |

1. I got bored with all the music I was listening to, and I asked my mom for some newer music, and she pointed me towards Queen. 2. My mom. 3. Don't Try Suicide, strangely enough. I didn't even hear Bohemian Rhapsody for another few weeks. :) |

-How did I discover Queen? - "Another One Bites The Dust" on the radio in 1980. -Who was the one (if any)who got me involved with Queen for the first time? - Perhaps my father, who explained what some of the lyrics were, including the title. -Which was the first song I ever heard? - I've already answered that for Queen. But hmm.. the very first song I ever heard... now that's a poser. Probably something by Elvis since my mom was crazy about him. Incidently, my mom dated a guy named David Houston before he became a (semi) famous singer who apparently opened for Elvis once. What has this got to do with anything? I don't know. |

Went to see Mott The Hoople in Stoke in November '73 came away a fan of the support band and been a Queen fan ever since! Can't remember what they opened with and that would have been the first song I heard but the first studio track I heard was Keep Yourself Alive! |

Killer Queen, on Dutch tv show "Toppop", 1974. Me being 5 years old, I did not have any clue who or what they were all I knew was I was completely hyponotized. My cousin, 6 years older than me, then turned out to have all the LP's. All 3 of them. And that's how it all started :) |
LisaNevada 28.08.2004 17:35 |
back in 1974, I became friends with two girls who each had a favorite band (Kiss and Aerosmith, I believe). They asked me who my favorite band was and, liking the song Killer Queen, I said Queen. Of course, I then had to go out and buy all the records so I could be as obsessed with my band as they were with theirs (posters, fan clubs, etc) I haven't seen either girl since college... |

1) They've always just been 'there', but what first got me into them properly was seeing 'Killer Queen' on Top Of The Pops 2. 2) The d00d who chooses what to show on TOTP2. 3) It seems I have always just known stuff like Bo Rhap, WWRY, WATC, AOBTD, IWTBF, UP, AKOM... etc, etc... |
Into La Ment 28.08.2004 18:51 |
Though... then again, I do recall seeing Bo Rhap on some Top 100 Greatest Songs Ever type thing. At number 1, of course. I was only about six. But I remember thinking it rocked. |

1. When I was 13 I decided to get interested in music so I listened to 3 live albums, Status Quo, Thin Lizzy and Queens Live Killers. I chose to become a fan of Queens because of all the little pictures on the inside of the Killers album sleeve. 2. My brother, they were his albums. 3. We Will Rock You (fast version) |

Killer Queen, when I was 13, in 1975 (or late 1974) on radio. I thought it was a very good song but I had no idea who Queen was. In X-mas 1975 I got a Loudmouth portable 8 track player and two 8-tracks. One was a K-tel compilation of some sort, and the other was a Bee Gees 8-track with Jive Talkin' (which I liked at the time ... and still do). I did not get any more 8-tracks until my birthday in June (I had no money) when I got Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and A Night at the Opera (by request of course) ... and then I became a Queen fan. |

May of 1991 A new local tv station broadcasted two videos all the time . Level42 "runnin' the family" and Innuendo from Queen.... It was the time of the movie The doors, and all my friends became ultra fans of this band, so i was lookin a good Band for being FAN... then i saw innuendo , and the music and the video just catch me.... then i realize that my older sister liked the band, for years... and she buy me the casette from innuendo for my birthday. The first i listed of them, was I want to break free in the famous AD from that gasoline brand.... However Innuendo the single, and later the album just got me..... Then freddie died :( ind still is strange to me because i didnt feel it so much..... Later i discover BoRhap, and of course i bought Queen II thinking in finding there... :P As when i was looking for the greatest hits, they sold me Greatest Hits II, in i found the whole 80' stuff, including that familiar "queen tune" than i remembered by vanilla ice :S Then here i am, i dont have a home, i dont have a car, i dont have money but i spent most of my income over the years in this beautiful band called QUEEN.... ;) Ozz |

Well, I know I have heard Queen songs all the time. The fist time I heard Queen and knew it was them though, was when I was listening to their greatest hits cd. I think my mom told me of them. Bohemian Rhapsody |

I was visiting a friend from school, 1974, and he had just bought Sheer Heart Attack. The first track I listened to was, no suprise here, Brighton Rock and I was hooked. It's still my favourite album. 30 years a Queen fan and I probably know less about the band than most people on this site! |

I think it was a kind of magic or i want to break free. My cousin recorded me a song with a lot of queen and the beatles songs. |

Oh geez this is a good question... How -- I heard songs on the radio when I was a kid, but I think I got into it more when my dad played the original Greatest Hits 1 LP in my house one day. Who -- Like I said, my dad, if anyone. First Song -- Probably "Bohemian Rhapsody". |
KillerQueen840 29.08.2004 17:26 |
I discovered Queen when I was too little to remember because my mum listened to them. So I guess I have to say it was my mum who got me too like them (she didn't even have to try). And since I was so small I can't remember which Queen song was the first I ever heard. Although come to think about it...maybe it was Radio Ga Ga cos I remember I would get a kick out of it (I was small remember) when I heard the words radio ga ga and radio goo goo (my dad would sing that part with me). |

1.) From cassette recorder in 1979 2.) From my schoolmate 3.) Mustapha It was interesting enough to call my attention to Queen, but it was only this one song. Then somebody in school lent me whole ANATO and then I was definitely caught. And it’s 25 years now. Maybe should I celebrate ? Have a fine day. |
bvsfan1 29.08.2004 19:00 |
I always knew who queen was. I was just never a fan of them until about two years ago. I would say that my mom got me into queen. I listened to her cassette of Queen greatest hits one day. The first song I probably heard of Queen was Bicycle race because my mom use to always play it in the car when we went somewhere. |
little foetus 29.08.2004 19:21 |
I discovered them in 94 by listening a friend's greatest hits. I already knew wwry and watc. My famous friend. The first song i heard might be we are the champions by hearing it when Marseille won the Football Champions League... |

Picked up a copy of ANATO in 75 and, almost literally, haven't put it down since. First song I guess was track one, side one. Still love it now. |

My friend Dave had seen them open for Mott the Hoople in New York, and went out and bought Queen II. He played it for me, and it was like nothing I had ever heard. I went out immediately and got my own copy (an 8-track!!), and I've been listening to them ever since. The first song I ever heard was Procession/Father To Son. |
