I'm new to the whole bootleg thing. I came across Queenzone via SharingTheGroove and started listening to a few bootlegs from various shows/artists.
It's fun, but I, admittedly, don't really have much use for the audience recorded shows. I just don't find the audio quality good enough to listen to repeatedly. Certainly fun to listen to once for the experience, but not really something I'll probably put in the CD player again.
So, with that said, if someone had to recommend the 2 or 3 best sounding queen concert bootlegs, which ones would you pick?
I'm just listening to the 31-3-74 high voltage concert. It's pretty good for a bootleg. I'd give it 7 out of 10.
I tend to agree with you in the respect of quality, some are very poor recordings. However, i do like to hear the different variations of individual songs.
But hey, saw me in half and you will see the word
Q U E E N.
Yea, I'm not knocking bootlegs in general. They are a lot of fun to listen to. I'm just looking for a couple that people would consider worthy of repeat listenings to due to higher sound quality.
