The live albums are what they are... and I'm so glad these are gonna be card sleeves! I always said if they did this, I'd even buy the live albums :)
What I'm wondering is what will be different about the new Platinum Collection. link I notice 18 tracks on disc one, so this must be the usual Japanese GH with 'Teo Torriate' added, right? Why only 16 tracks on GH II? Very intriguing.
From looking at their listings, I don't see a previous Japanese version of Platinum, only US and UK, so perhaps they're finally getting their own version. And copy controlled of course.
Looks like they did have a Platinum Collection for a limited time, so it's being brought back here I guess.
None of these are listed at CD Japan yet. Very exciting and fresh news indeed! I hope they'll do the hits albums in card sleeve form next!
lalala
So nobody cares? No thoughts about this? No 'Great, more of the same old crap and nothing new' or 'Great! I was hoping they'd do that'?
I've been emailing with Jen and she's already got these listed at the site thanks to me. At least she cares. :-P
not to blow your party, but the cardboard sleeve live albums were announced a while back. Their customers who have ordered the cardboard sleeves, (like me e.g.) got a mail a few days ago about these 4 albums to pre-order it.
Nice of you though to mention it to Jen to have it announced on Brian's site!
Hmm, I didn't get the email. Maybe I'm not signed up properly for their newsletters. Oh well... Jen told me that even Brian didn't know all the details, such as the copy control on this version of 'Platinum' (sounded like maybe he's not pleased and might try to stop it)
Jen asked me something related to something else which might indicate something which I can't talk about because Brian is concerned about privacy and surprises, but I'll just say I wish I were in Vegas right now. ;)
Just to let people in Europe know, it looks like Play.com is getting the vinyl sleeves in stock now. Queen II is in stock - link
EDIT: Fixed the link.
Peace,
Adam.
For Live At Wembley, they're showing the U.S. version cover which says it has bonus tracks, but the track listing is the original 13 tracks on disc 1, 15 on disc 2. Would be very cool if they'd use the 2003 U.S. version.
