Oh God, I just saw this movie on VH1 last night and I have to say that it makes 'Gigli' look like 'Casablanca'.
The acting is awful, and the dialogue is absolutely ridiculously corny. I don't know if they truly over exaggerate Michael Jackson's behavior, but they sure make it look goddamn funny.
This movie is probably one of the worse I've ever seen. Yet still the flick is so BAD that it's GOOD. Just like listening to William Hung singing.
Check out these quotes from the movie:
- "He's like a Blanket! A Blanket of Love! That's why we call him that!"
- "The truth is a bitch! And the bitch hurts!"
- "Don't you believe in magic? Don't you believe in us? Don't you believe in neverland?" not exact but you get the idea"
- (After witnessing the Twin Towers get hit by planes)
''I want to remember this day forever! What's todays date?, September the 11th 2001.''
- (Also while watching the events of 9/11 on TV)
"Cancel the surrogate! I can't bring another child into this world."
- "Michael, Johnny Cochran is the best criminal defense atourney in the country"
- "BUT I'M NOT A CRIMINAL!"
- "That's just what they call it Michael"
- "WELL CHANGE IT! IT SOUNDS UGLY!"
i've seen a little bit of this movie and the actor didn't remotely resemble michael jackson at all! i haven't seen the whole bit yet, just a few scenes here and there, but those quotes sound pretty funny. i'll have to finish watching it - vh1 is really bad about airing the same program into the ground!
His voice is almost exactly like Michael's, but he doesn't look like him at all. I really want to see this, but I haven't been able to catch any repeats.
My take on that movie was that it was pure unadulterate crap dribble but what else can you expect from VH1 USA when across the pond the UK channel of the same name blows us away.
The writer must've been high on ectasy when he wrote it and the actor sucked.
Cheap crap!
Kriz ;o)
VH1 in the U.S. started as a great music channel dedicated to the adult/contemporary mainstream. Aside from that it gave a lot of its air time to retro music and had a lot of specials on legendary artists and other great musicians with long careers.
However lately VH1 only seems to get worse and worse. Sometimes we see some great shows like 'I love the...70s, 80s, 90s' or 'Behind The Music', but the rest is nothing but a bunch of reality crap or celebrity gossip garbage. (Like if we didn't have enough of that on E!). Even Ted Nugent has his own show... I would only watch if that fuckin' bastard gets shot... AND FOR REAL!

Tud Nugent is nothing but a pathetic crackhead alcoholic who thinks that everyone should own a gun.
This guy is so fuckin' nuts that he thinks that it's right to teach kids how to hunt.

All except the crackhead and alcoholic parts. He doesn't drink or do drugs. ;)
<<<"If someone is taking drugs, they ain’t my peer," he said. "Don’t use drugs, or alcohol, or tobacco, or eat at fast food restaurants. Think about your body: now why would you want to poison that?"
He spoke many times of the 1960s drug problems and said he has personally never done drugs.>>>
Getting back to the MJ movie...
It was complete crap and it seemed to only tell Michael's side of things (the "skin condition", NOT a pedophile, NOT a tad mentally ill, only had TWO plastic surgeries) And I did watch the documentary that one guy made (the one that had Jacko's panties up in a bunch), that was good because the interviewer pointed out just how screwed up he was (Michael helped, what - with his being a crazed pedophile obsessed with children and all). But The Man In The Mirror SUCKED. Even the actor's voice tended to get too deep sometimes.
(to MJ: Dude, people will not take you dangling a baby over a balcony lightly! Stop trying to defend yourself when you got busted TWICE!) OK I'm done now.
