For those who haven't seen it, here you can find the interactions between Queen and The Simpsons: link (very, very interesting) But the point is that somewhere in this page, says: 'Did you also know that in one episode of "The Simpsons" you can see Homer´s Queen-poster from "A Night At The Opera"?' Which is that episode??? Thanks in advance. |

Not sure exactly what episode...but it's one that Homer's thinking back in time and he's on this chair (bean bag I think) collapsed and right behind him is this Queen poster... I've seen in on the internet. Probably only a few days ago, I believe. |

It's the one where Marge makes him give up beer for a month. The song goes "When I was Seventeen I drank some very good beer I drank some very good beer I bought it with a fake ID. My name was Brian McGee I stayed up listening to Queen (cue young Homer slumped in a beanbag with ANATO poster on the wall) When I was seventeen" |

Yep, that's the one. Homer gives up the amber liquid. Then Brian kills Apu and works at the Kwik-e-Mart. Well not really but it'd be a good idea. |

Fast reply! For further info have a look here: link This has all the information about that episode you could ever want...and probably quite a bit you don't really need. |

a Queen poster was featured in the Movie Private Parts during Stern's scene in WRNW.. |
PabloArg 09.08.2004 10:28 |

jasen101 09.08.2004 12:58 |
I've seen an episode with "you're my best friend" in it. another episode has homer singing "we are the champions" to himself. |

Too bad it's probably too late to have Brian, Roger, or both on the Simpsons. Though really, you never know. With that rock and roll fantasy camp episode, looks like they're prone to a little nostaligia. |

Agreed. Mick looked like an Olympic swimmer! |

Homer was 17 in 1971 or 1972 - the episodes give 2 different years of birth. So he was a fan right from the very beginning. |

i was just watching the simpsons and they had "best friend" playing. |

(Wow I can't believe no one has ever done this.... :) I work at a Fox affiliate so tonight I brought the Simpsons tape home, ripped the "When I Was 17" part as a VCD-quality MPEG and just put it on the hub under my name "emeraldbar". (If anyone wants to torrent it feel free...I've heard the hub isn't accepting new members. The file is 6.5 megs.) Also I put a still-image of Homer and the Queen poster on the hub and here: link Anyone know which episodes those other two songs were in? If so I could rip those too. I think the "You're My Best Friend" one was just in the last year.... |

I'll add this to Simpsons nitpicks |

Now I have it! In series 04 episode 75 - 'Duffless' On his driving license (#C4043243) it says: 12.05.1956 that's Taurus but would not lead to A Night At The Opera... |

But what you have to understand is, He always drinks.. so he has fried his mind.. so he may have THOUGHT he was 17 when he was indeed 20 or 21.. so.. there you go.. Alcohol HAS a funny way of doing that.. |

Well, if he was just 20.. wait, back in 75 wasn't the legal drinking age in the US 18? Oh well.. its just a cartoon... |

well, of course you all know that Homer's been in a coma for the last 20 years, and everything's just taking place in his mind........(seriously, this was a theory someone came up with!) Oh wait.......I googled it, and their executive producer shot the theory down recently............. |

There is one where a group of journalists are commenting how the people from Fox News are arrogants, and then a entire truck of Fox News people arrives with We Are The Champions on the radio. ...or something like that. |
