Uuuuhhhhhh... Did I not just offer my services?! ;)
Once upon a time
My children were little, more little then yet, let's say, 10 years ago, when they were 5 and 7 years old.
Weeks and weeks before the events, they were getting excited about the events, not because of the event, but because of the gifts and so that they should get. They wanted it all, and I always blamed their grandparents to fullfill those wishes without asking us, the parents, what we think about it or what we should give them ourselves
We told our children that of course it is great to get a gift, it is great to get what you want, but that that is not how it always goes. That makes those days special, because you are thankful for what you get
That way, you should be realy excited to see what is in the stockings, under the tree, or next to your birthday cake
When you grow up you might expect more INTO the birthday cake then next to it
They find that out right now and they see that it is great to celebrate, happy with all the tiny gifts, of what the unexpected or deepest desired are the best
Considering that I think that children who are telling HEY LOOK, IT'S MY PARTY,
that those children not yet are grown up and will constantly be disappointed about what life is realy offering them
The greatest gift on earth is not in what you ask, but in what you get, unexpected
So, nothing from me for Mel, we say in holland, children who ask, shall get nothing
and there you have it :)
No no, Thomas, please don't misunderstand, the saying is "kinderen die vragen, worden overgeslagen" and it is about children who ask for presents, candy, etc., like for their birthday or things like that. It isn't about children who ask questions! :)
Boy I am soo glad I'm not in Holland, bc I still want what I ask for!!! And..I'm not a child so I get to still ask for what I what!!
*sticks her tongue out*
/quit stingy bitch mode
Yes Mel, I love you too, and maybe the people in Holland are agreeing as well with you :):)
What I meant is.. dont ask, just be happy with what comes your way
Everyone who looks into my birthdaylist, now and then, will be able to send the packages in time :)
yeaaaaaaa!!! packages packages packages!!
Actually all I wanted was a bunch of happy birthdays from my friends on here!!
damn you got it out of me....POO!
damn damn damn.
