I downloaded the mpg from the internet.
two songs: Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Under Pressure.
VHS-quality (so no DVD quality)
I'll have this temporarily on my site.
Yeah it sure will. But it was refused as a torrent. And I did want to share this. In the meantime I have removed the link, but the file can also be found with WinMX or E-Donkey.
I got an e-mail saying that this was a legit recording in Germany. The recording I torrented wasn't from an official release though, it was from a home made vhs recording.
Really within minutes the torrent was banned. Ah well, I don't mind. People can search for the file in other ways themselves.
I've actually seen this one on tv. In Chicago they play old SNLs on at like 4 am sunday morning (i didn't know that till i saw it). It was on like a month ago. I was flipping the channel and they had a close shot of Freddie, and I had to take a double take. I was like I know that face anywhere. When I told my sis about it she was pissed she missed it. It's the only live performance I've ever seen of them.
It's really weird to see queen genuinely perform live on a small stage in front of a TV audience. Makes a welcome change from seeing them mince about in stadiums.
Shame Freddie's voice was shagged in Under Pressure (also, shame about the horrible synths in that tune, would have been better performed as they did in the We Will Rock You film)
Did they definitely perform the songs in that order? It would have made more sense to play Under Pressure first and end on a tune that everyone knows.

Nope, you can't delete a post... but you can edit it with the left-most of the three buttons above each post.
Freddie's voice was chewed on Sept 25th, 1982, apparently because he had quite a fight with a friend/boyfriend or whoever else the night before. This ranks as one of the worst, and it turns out it was their last performance in the US.
