I was watching Mastermind tonight and I always enjoy the obscure subjects the contestants try to answer questions on i.e. vegetation found at 3000m above sea level and the history of the Counter-Reformation in Blackpool in 1689.
Yet tonight the BBC struck gold when some guy's specialist subject was Alan Partridge. I must admit I had to look twice. I never thought I'd hear on Mastermind and particularly from the mouth of John Humpries questions like;
(For answers see below).
What was the name of Alan's company where he once sacked all the staff rather than downsize his car?
What was the name of the episode in which Alan attempts to watch all the Bond films back to back?
The guy did score 18 which is a pretty fine score compared to some old dear who got 2 (mind you it took her 5 minutes to say her name and occupation).
If this is what I pay my licence fee for I'm all for it!
