I had this long conversation once with my cousin about some kind of paranormal phenomena (if we can call it that), where supossedely your soul comes out of your body while you're asleep and then comes back when you wake up.
Once your soul comes out of your body you can travel to places and see the things that are happening at the momement while your body is asleep.
It is also said that some people can be able to see the aura of your body while your soul is travelling, and it's easier to see it in the dark.
I don't know how true this could possibly be, or how common is it to see someone having that kind of experience?
Has anyone heard of anything like this?
I know this whole thing sounds fuckin' ridiculous, but it just made me really curious.
Outer-body experiences are fairly common things for people to report.
It's said that if you get good enough at meditation you can make yourself do it and go anywhere you want. But I've never had it happen to me.
My boyfriend once told me, that after a really long and tiresome day, he had a feeling that he was watching himself from the outside and seeing himself doing things in slow motion..
I'm not a strong believer of paranormal phenomena and he's even less so.. and I think this feeling might have occured because he was so tired that day, and your brain can do pretty weird tricks on you when tired, but I guess one can't be sure..
You know that feeling you get when you say or think of a word over and over, and it feels like it becomes obsolete? Sometimes, if I look at myself or think about myself, I start to think, 'Who am I?'. I don't think that counts as an out of body experience, but I don't feel like myself for a few seconds.
My cousin has told me that for a while she used to have outer body experiences. I just don't know what she smoked, snorted, or ate to feel this way. LOL
Seriously speaking, I've been told by quite a few people that they've had outer body experiencess.
Columbias Finest Mushrooms. Whilst I was in Amsterdam last year, I had a serious outer body experience and i think that this devilish little fungi had something to do with it!
"your soul comes out of your body while you're asleep and then comes back when you wake up."
Some religions have that exact belief, including Islam. The soul never returns to those who die in thir sleep.
Since coming home from uni ive been having disturbed sleep. Im asleep but i can tell what im doing- almost like im concious of it. I feel like im in a bed thats in the restaurant at work and i cant be seen to be asleep in it so everytime i 'see' a customer come in i get out of bed and welcome them.
Oh god, time for the pills again aint it? :s
I remember once when I was no more than a young lad and my father came home unexpectedly to find me smoking a cigar and rifling through his wallet.
He hurled me over the dining table and I did a 360 degree somersault, which was pretty close to an out of body experience, I can tell you.
The joke's on him now though, as he's in a home for the mentally infirm and can barely feed himself.
