Hello Bummers. I dont know if you knew that I also loved No Doubt and I'd like it very much to stick a bit of wet in Gwen Stefani, so I bought the No Doubt box set in hope that i'd get my wish. Well it hasnt happened yet, but maybe if I keep buying their stuff, she'll knock on my door one day just like John Deacon did, although that was for a different reason and he was acompanied by police officers.
Now back to my main point, I have a general knowledge question for you, which I noticed whilst reading my No Doubt boom box book.
What person has worked with both No Doubt and Queen?
Answers on a postcard and winners will get a sloppy kiss from me.
oh well.
I just seen your profile with No Doubt, are you gwen Stefani cos if you are I like to kiss you on my poster at night, then I kiss Tony Kanal and then go to sleep and dream strange things that you do to me.
The answer and fact of the day is that Roy Thomas Baker mixed a song called sailin on which is a cover of a bad brains song that no doubt covered. He also produced some Queen album a few years back.
Now i'm gonna give myself a big sloppy kiss.
You are very lucky. I thought they'd split after they released Running, but looks like they've decided to cash in on their success of rock steady and release a greatest hits package. Good on them too. I hope they keep going for a long time to come. They'll probably take a break for a bit ( Gwens acting career ect), then come back with fresh ideas and then take over the world.
ps, do you know if Gwen has any welsh roots? With a name like that she must. I'm welsh you see.
Not sure about the Welsh thing...I had thought she had Italian blood, but I could be wrong..
Do you know Gwen's working on a dance album? It was supposed to be out in August (or so I heard), but I am not sure if it'll be out that soon or not.
I think ND has a lot left in them. They are quite young and fresh still.
I think her mother had welsh roots.
That dance album should be interesting, although wont be half as good as it could without Tony's bass. hes one of my top bass players.
'hes one of my top bass players'
Do you own a collection of bass players that you lend out? That is tres cool.
By the way Jocky Wilson owns both Queen's and No Doubt's greatest hits albums which are filed in alphabetical order in his front room next to his dart board.
I saw them 4 years ago for the 'Return of Saturn' tour, and they were totally awesome.
Had my chance to see them this year, but out of anger I didn't buy the tickets for not being able to get orchestra seats after waiting 2 hours a half at the box office. I was waiting for the tickets to go on sale, and there were only 4 or 5 people in front of me waiting first. It really pissed me off not being able to see them up-close.
Now I regret now going to see them, even if it was in the upper level. It seems like No Doubt would be on other projects for a while. Especially Gwen Stefani who is releasing her debut solo album, and her L.A.M.B. line of clothing.
Rumor has it that Gwen wishes to become a mom very soon. So if there's a baby on the way, we won't have No Doubt back for like at least 3 years.

Brian's daughter is a fan of No Doubt and Brian likes them, too. There is a documentary where he raves about them.
Is the correct answer Trip Khalaf ?
