I have a cassette with the following text:
Freddie Mercury - Excerpts from "Mr. Bad Guy"
1. Living On My Own
2. Made In Heaven
3. Let's Turn It On
4. Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow
1985, CBC Inc
PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE
The songs are full versions.
I haven't found anything about this item on the net.
Does it have a plain white sleeve?
Then read the following, taken from RonB's site link
Released in 1985 as Freddie's first solo album. Released on LP, CD and cassette. The LP issue had a non-gatefold sleeve with a printed innersleeve containing lyrics and a photo.
The UK, French and Japanese CD issues had three bonus tracks.
Some cassette issues featured the Extended Version of I Was Born To Love You replacing the normal album version.
Korea had a unique black and white insert instead of a printed innersleeve.
Japanese LP issue had a four page insert including lyrics and a photo plus three 12" photo sheets. The obi was attached at the top of the sleeve instead of the left. The promo LP issue had also the four page insert, but no photo sheets. Instead it had a poster.
USA had a longbox CD issue.
A promotional four track cassette album was released in the USA with a plain white sleeve containing the tracks and some copyright info.
A pirate picture disc was released, probably made in the UK. It has a die-cut outer sleeve and features some extra tracks which aren't mentioned on the sleeve.
"A promotional four track cassette album was released in the USA with a plain white sleeve containing the tracks and some copyright info."
That's it! I checked that site, but somehow managed to miss that part.
Any idea how rare (or valuable) that cassette is?
