Well, it was a nice prog. Nothing too surprising and pretty run of the mill. Though, it was nice to hear the same cock riding story again from Trip! But I think it sounded better in the Freddie's Loves prog. Some little stories I hadn't heard before like, the first video attached to Keep Yourself Alive was a cartoon about a train. NOT the later attached video to the track where there were a mixmash of images, e.g. boxing, real train, etc. etc. And of course the dissection of Queen's, and more importantly, Freddie's earnings. There was a moment just before Mike Moran was about to be interviewed in a studio - a quick shot shows him playing the piano for the guy and panning to a Queen Greatest Hits music book, then to the interview. But they didn't let us hear that part!! Arrrrgghhhh! I don't know about any of you, but to me, hearing Mike play some Queen hits on the piano would've been very interesting. Overall, worth a couple of looks. But not much for repeat viewings. It was shown at 8pm, but if you missed it, it'll be repeated tonight at 12:25am. Peace, Adam. P.S. Watch out for the guy with the banana on his mic! Wow...lol!! Or even the tribute band guy after that. Eeek. |
Ogre 25.07.2004 16:37 |
I thought it was quite entertaining. I'm listening to bananaman again as I write this. What a laugh he was...... |
agneepath! 11994 25.07.2004 16:37 |
damn... missed it. I'll tape it later on. Thanks for the info though! |
Adam Baboolal 25.07.2004 16:43 |
I recorded it too, so I'll put something together. Although, I'm not sure on how to deliver it, if you know what I mean. Maybe try passing it onto someone on hear for torrent? EDIT: It's recorded direct onto the computer. I can turn it into any video file format. But like I said, what format and how to pass it on? Through the hub? Peace, Adam. |
agneepath! 11994 25.07.2004 17:26 |
Trouble with the Hub is not everyone can access it... why not torrent here on QZ? I'm sure many non UK Queenzoner's will want to see it (along with the Freddie Loves doc.) |
Ogre 25.07.2004 17:51 |
Exactly how I did mine Adam. Aint got a clue how to torrent it though. Might look into it |
Adam Baboolal 25.07.2004 17:57 |
I'm in the same place, Ogre! I'll do some tests. Peace, Adam. |
Ogre 25.07.2004 19:15 |
RIGHT!! I've uploaded the torrent file at the address below.Let's see if the darn thing will work... link |
Adam Baboolal 25.07.2004 19:36 |
Nice one, Ogre! I'll leave it to you. Btw, thanks for sharing that torrent place. I think that could be very useful to keep bookmarked. Peace, Adam. |
Ogre 25.07.2004 19:52 |
Nice to see that i'm now seeding to people. I should point out that it is a *.DAT file that i'm uploading so some people might need to change the extension from .dat to .mpg I just double click on the file and 'open with' windows media player |
agneepath! 11994 25.07.2004 19:56 |
thanks for this... wanna copy this post into "sharing the music" section as well? |

It was a pretty fair reflection - not too negative or scandalised, but two points stick in my mind... First: most of Freddie's finances were divided four ways - which means that the other members of Queen are just as wealthy. Second: Freddie's been dead for over twelve years, and he earns more per annum deceased, than I ever will living! Who says that "proper" jobs are secure! |

Current torrent seems to be working well so far. Thanks for the show, Ogre. |
Penis - Vagina 26.07.2004 03:38 |
Yes, thanks Ogre. This is the first time I've downloaded anything Queen related via bittorent. I sure am getting screwed on download rate vs. upload. My share ratio is like 150%. I'm upping around 30k and d/l as low as 2. Is that normal? |
YourValentine 26.07.2004 04:00 |
Thanks a lot, Ogre:) It's my first torrent download, too. |
deleted user 26.07.2004 06:06 |
Hands up for The Ogre!! thank you very much, it's my first bit torrent too and I have to say it works great, many compliments! I'm downloading it and I will seed it for the whole week for sure, I hope this can help. cheeers! |
Richard Orchard 26.07.2004 06:35 |
is anyone seeding thithere are 18 peers, but no-one with 100%. Can anyone hop on. Once i have the full lot i will leave my window open indefinately. but i am not much use if i don't have the whole thing... |
Brian_Mays_Wig 26.07.2004 08:05 |
I quite enjoyed it - nice documentary. Cant wait for the Bo Rhap story. |
Maz 26.07.2004 10:58 |
"I sure am getting screwed on download rate vs. upload. My share ratio is like 150%. I'm upping around 30k and d/l as low as 2. Is that normal?" When you have only one seeder, then yes. As long as Ogre is the only one with the complete file, it will trickle out to us. Once we all complete the file, the dl for the rest will fly. On past torrents, when I've come in with few peers and a lot of seeders, I get dl speeds of 100k+ per second. |
Ogre 26.07.2004 12:39 |
I apologize for the slow upload, i'm not on the fastest of cable modems. I'll keep it going until you all get it though. At the moment the upload is at 436meg so it shouldn't be too long until we all have a copy. Hey Hangman.......nice website you have.. ;-) |
agneepath! 11994 26.07.2004 13:30 |
no need to apologise - you're doing everyone a great service. could anyone torrent Freddie Love doc. for non Uk fans who may want to watch it. How about other Queen documentaries? |
queenrocks! 10902 26.07.2004 13:33 |
These are the things I found interesting .Freddie worked at Heathrow Airport which I didn't know .'I Can Hear Music' with Freddie as Larry Lurex .Freddie was going to buy a penthouse overlooking Montreux but died before the paperwork came in. .Freddie is now worth 82 million. .His solo projects gave him 10 million. .Freddie lost 89,000 due to dead koi carp. .The animation for Keep Yourself Alive .We get to see Norman Sheffield of Trident. .It was the first time Liquid Assets did a show on a dead celebrity. |
agneepath! 11994 26.07.2004 13:41 |
'I Can Hear Music' with Freddie as Larry Lurex Queenrocks - i recommend you save up (I know your a teenager) and buy the FM solo collection, hardback book, DVds, Cds etc it will become the love of your life! If it is too expensive - go for the FM 3CD set- which still should be easily available. |
Ogre 26.07.2004 13:54 |
I believe it was £890.000 he lost on his koi's |
Adam Baboolal 27.07.2004 10:56 |
It was 10 koi carp fish costing £10,000 each. In 2002 the fish were killed in a freak accident. The total was indeed £890,000. Btw, I re-recorded Freddie's Millions because there was: a) an annoying voiceover at the end b) an annoying graphic that popped up at the end and... c) my HD dropped quite a lot of frames. Plus the other reason was for me to record it in the best sound quality. Used better interconnects and instead attached it to my pro soundcard and the recorded sound was hugely open. I was impressed and relieved. After listening to my first one, it was night and day. I'll definitely be doing the same for the BoRhap docu. Peace, Adam. |

Adam Baboolal 27.07.2004 14:29 |
Did you record it from the tv? Or are you talking about the recent torrent? Peace, Adam. |
Borhap80 27.07.2004 14:31 |
the torrent one ! |
Borhap80 27.07.2004 14:37 |
I think i've solved the problem..... |
Richard Orchard 28.07.2004 06:07 |
I thought this documentary was really good. It was "fresh". Because all the other Queen docs seem to be done by the same people (Torpeado twins) they seem to come at it from the same angle, using the same footage. As far as his total worth is concerned, previous reports put Brian and Roger at around 50 million pounds... So the Freddie figure might be a little out? Or vice versa. |
Pim Derks 28.07.2004 06:58 |
A lot better than I expected... Though there were some mistakes (Freddie died November 24th, aged 46!?). Quite nice to see some 'new' people like Trip Khalaf and such - not the usual Freddie-gang of Peter Straker & co. |
bolan 28.07.2004 07:18 |
I will watch anything about Queen - it doesn't matter what it is! I didn't see Freddies lovers though - my mum wouldn't let me! |
Adam Baboolal 29.07.2004 13:13 |
HEADS UP! It's on again tonight at 11:30pm |
