Has anyone checked out Jimmy May's Website? Here it is: jimmymay.co.uk Brian links to it from his site(of course). A touching account of Jimmy's life with Dad/Rock Star Brian May. Beautiful:)
Nice, but fragmented.
Why does Jimmy go into talking about being "clinically depressed"? Because Dad is a famous rock star who wasn't around much when Jimmy was growing up? Or because his parents divorced?
That's really personal information I'm sure, but I am not being judgmental. It's a little odd seeing that on a website though...

Brian's given interviews about the divorce episode, don't think he's too worried about keeping it private.
Besides, everyone likes to talk about periods in which they were depressed. It makes life more interesting.
I checked out the site. Fairly unexciting, but a nice thing to see.
Depressions are not always caused by situations or circumstances or things that happened. Some people are born with it. There is a huge difference between a depression caused by something that happened, or depressions people are born with. The first can go away, the second will always come back, sooner or later. Unless you're lucky! :)
agree with sj. i went to a psychologist for treatment for depression last year, turns out i had an underactive thyroid gland, a medical condition that i couldnt have helped. i actually have a pretty happy life. however i do understand what you are saying. im not ashamed of being depressed often, and no one should be, but some things you do wonder why they make so public. i think he just wants to help others with the same problem.
Even if his depression was caused and not genetically transpased (is that a word?), it isn't neccesarily a "daddy's not around" or "daddy and mommy aren't together" cause. It could be a thousand things... a bad relationship with a girl, or his siters, or he saw a murder, etc

Apparently Jimmy went with Brian alot when Queen toured. He talks about being at the side of the stage watching his dad change from dad to Rock Star;the after parties-not going to bed until 3:00am,etc.He also talks about Freddie - how he "partied like the rest"but was always respectful in front of him and got after anyone that used bad language in front of him.
