According to one of John S. Stuarts' lists, there is a single remix of FWBF. I know the Dutch single doesn't have the remix... does it exist and what release is it on? Thanks!
I'm not too sure, But I think he MAY be talking about the version used in the video. I don't know if that was released outside of video though. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong... Which I no doubt am. ;)
Here's a listing of all the versions that I know of....
Friends Will Be Friends
Album Version 4:07
Friends Will Be Friends Will Be Friends 5:58
7" Edit Remix ?????????????
Extended Version 6:19
Video Version 4:23
Karaoke Version 4:20

The differences between each have been pretty much summed up by your own list:
Extended Version 6:19
Album Version 4:07
7" Edit Remix (Is a hybrid of both)
If I recall correctly, I think the video version and 7" version are almost the same. (As suggested above - it may even be an edit of the video version) - and ofcourse, I refer to the original UK release.
Now to clarify this, when I originally circulated this list the Video Version (4:23) was NOT really available as an audio track to most people - as most still owned mono VHS recorders and DVD's had not been invented.
Infact, quite a few bootleggers made a lot of money selling CDs from video tracks like "Friends Will Be Friends" and "A Kind Of Magic - Highlander closing credits".
Also, I wanted to point out that all the audio formats (Album/12" & 7") were different from each other.
Perhaps it is a little confusing but comparing like for like, even the Queen catalogue lists "Friends Will Be Friends" as album/12" and 7" versions.
As a completist - I want It All - Don't you?
Very interesting... it's funny that FWBF single remix isn't discussed much. I take pride in knowing as many different song versions as possible and wasn't aware of this until you mentioned it. Ron has the dutch 7" and said it sounded like the album version to him. Does anyone have a copy of hte single remix?
Well I need some help from my fellow Queenzoners. I got a friend of mine to record the 7" UK version off of their vinyl single. Can anyone notice any difference? I'm sure Jeffrey can spot something. :)
